My wife also did last fall. She went and took the written test first, just to get a head start.
MJ did also. She has been riding for 4 years now. Over 50 k miles under her. 8k trip planned this summer.

I took my course in 2006. Not getting the ride time in that I would like as I have had a partial knee replacement, and so I am looking now to get a trike kit conversion. Here to learn what I can from the forum. tiarice
I did and I would recommend the class to everyone, they really teach you the safe way to learn, I took the class years ago and still remember everything they taught us to ride smart and ride safe! I have been riding for 13 years since I took the class.......
Yay!!! I took the course six or seven years ago, and just like Nana, I have never gone back to the back seat since then. And as Nana can also tell you, she and I have been known to virtually push our husbands--on their two-wheelers--through the twisties on the mountain roads.
So I say to you, Dean.....STAND BY!!!

I took the class in 08. Loved it, although I had been tooling around for two years before that on a learner's permit. The class gave me so much more confidence!

I took the class in April of 2010. I had always been a passenger, never the driver. Passed, even though the skills test was held in a down pour of rain. I was 65 years old at the time and quickly learned I couldn't hold up a Harley, so went with the HD trike. I've been riding a little over two years now and have logged in close to 30,000 miles. As Nana and JuJu said, once she rides her own, the rest is history! She will love it! The class is a must have.
My Wife took the Test, got Her Motorcycle License in 2004. She's owned and ridden Cruisers, Sport Bikes, Scooters, 2 Trikes, and Thousands of miles. Since She has had some Carpul Tunnel and Injured Knee Issues the last coupla' years, She rides more again on the back of my Gold Wing 1800 Trike, but prior to that, She rarely 2-upped after gettin' Her License.....

Took the course 4/09. Best thing I could have done. Learned so much.
Rode behind husband for many, many years. Wish I had done this a lot sooner.
My wife passed the bike course this past winter. I now HAVE to share the driving with her

Alas, my wife has absolutely NO desire to even get on the back of my trike and ride with me, much less get her license and ride her own bike. Boo Hoo.
I took the course and have just triked my bike due to a bionic right leg that I don't want to mess up.

I am perfectly content ridin' behind Big John, first on two, now on three wheels. Can't quite see well enough to ride my own - besides, my job is to take pictures, point out various eateries as we go flyin' past (John only stops when HE wants to stop!), and sleep. Tough job, but one of us has to do it, and I'd really rather he doesn't nap while driving!!
