Helmet itch

I always shampoo my hair before putting on my helmet. No gel, no mouse or anything else. You might also try taking the liner out and washing it. There could be buildup from the above or even coatings the mfg puts on it.

I found that if my helmet did not fit I had helmet itch.

Does her helmet move around on her head?

Many years ago I found this to be the problem... the helmet moving around on the head easily. Started wearing a "silky" as someone else mentioned and this stopped it - TOTALLY! A do-rag item will do the same thing.

A plus to this is that the helmet doesn't pick up the scalp oil smell - thus makes it easier to sell later.

I don't have that problem with my helmet, but when I stop and put on a baseball hat I get the head itch very soon after putting it on. Not sure I understand all I know about that.
