Trike Kits for Honda Goldwing

Most of the threads I am reading are on Roadsmith Trike kits what about California side or other kits and does anyone have anything to say about Hannigan Motorsports there is a shop in Waynesville Ohio near where I live and that is the only shop I know of in my area. I am new to this. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Motor Trike kit on my TRIKE and I LOVE It. Handles Great and plenty of Trunk space.

I have had no issues with the CSC kit,other than a couple of installer issues. I like it but as with all kits, there are + and -'s. Installer is a big part of the kit.

I love my new CSC kit. You can get one installed at Fairfield Honda. Talk to Dave in service. I believe he also installs MotorTrike. I looked at some of those kits and was also impressed by them. It's all about what you like.....finances, etc.

These things seem to go in cycles. A few yrs. ago on another forum there was a popular poster that owned a CSC. It was all the rage there. He has since stopped posting and now others have taken over. The Hannigan is , in my opinion, one of the top three kits on the market. Their factory is only 100 miles from me. You should certainly be happy with one of their kits. I own a DFT. It is not a major player in the goldwing market but is certainly, again in my opinion, one of the top three I mentioned above. They are a sponsor of this site. Customer service is tops and the kit is very well engineered and constructed. My only suggestion to you would be to ride all you can before deciding and to be sure to get a good installer.

As stated, there are several very good conversion kits on the market. I would encourage you to look over all the major players products, checking feature for feature. Determine what you like best and get the one with the looks and features YOU want. Find an installer AFTER you figure out what you want. (Run over to Ft. Wayne in a couple weeks to WingDing and you can check 'em all out there) After looking we went with Roadsmith and are very satisfied and would definitely do it again. You will find most trike owners are happy with their rigs, regardless of brand-Get what suits You and enjoy!

welcome aboard cindydude as sall ready stated decide what you like and then find a good installer. that shop will make or break your conversion enjoyment. all the majors make a good conversion.

We've got the CSC kit on our 07. Had it done in 2011. No problems with it so far. It was installed by a Gold Wing dealer. We were really happy with the dealer.

We did a Hannigan 6 mos ago and love it. Havving put close to 1200 miles on it the first week, I have to say it was all the recommending folks said it would be...a great ride with the long wheel base and independent suspension. I would only consider one other unit and that Roadsmith. If I had it to do all over again I would go Hannigan. I will repeat what others have said..."Its the dealer"!!! Go with who you trust.

All trike kits are pretty much the same from a riders stand point. Unless you test drive them all in a short amount of time it's hard to pin point everything that is different, good bad or ugly.

I like Champion Sidecars, some people like Motor trikes or CSC or DFT or Road Smith... the list goes on. Most people will like what ever they are riding when it comes to the kit trikes. The Cam am... I would not buy and I'm not a true fan of the triGlide by harley.

Find one you like for a good price.. and make it your own!

I have a DFT on my Valkryie and love it. there is hardly any maintenance. 8 zerk fittings once a year and 9 cu.ft. of space and if you add my trailer you've got 34 cu.ft. Check it out..................

Remove rear tires, some are harder. Rear brake is adequate
Easy to replace, only work besides new rear tires after 65,000

Hate to bust your bubble, but I believe Lehman is out of business...I'd advise you check out CSC, Hannigan and Roadsmith. Look at feature for feature and ride 'em all if you possibly can. We went with the 'Smith and could not be more pleased. Check 'em all out before you buy....

I have a Hannigan and love the looks and the ride it offers. Hope this helps oh one other thing Hannigan parts you can get at Auto Zone some of the others you have to order from the factory. Also the warranty is great Jim at Hannigan is easy to work with. John Lee is also good.

here is my take after having a champion 2011 trike

if the mfg does not have an adequate quality monitor systems,, there will be good and bad produced.. Lehman is now owned by champion and it was reported that they had an automotive mfg certification,,, but have they now hired new mfg people?

re; my champion,, several issues the dealer kicked out the door to me,, the biggest problem WAS AXLE LEAKS,, they -champion replaced the entire diff assy,, now AFTER 6K MILES I HAVE ANOTHER LEAK ON THE RT SIDE,, I GIVE UP AND PUT AN ALUMINUM SHEET ON THE AXLE TO PUSH OFF THE OIL FROM MY ROTOR. we will see from here.

I am having a new Hannigan built as I write this. I did a lot of research and also talked with Hannigan that is only 150 miles from me. I certainly feel it is among the top kits available.

There again I have no experience just research, everyone has opinions.
