Does anyone know how much free play there should be between the shift pawl lever assembly and the engine case on a 2011 103 engine (TriGlide.) I assume some free play is necessary because of engine movement on the mounts and vibration. I haven't been having any problems (except for finding Neutral when the engine is hot) but I noticed while on a trip to the Black Hills this weekend that there is about 1/4 inch of side-to-side play at the far end of the lever, and I'm wondering if this is normal. I've never looked at the assembly before, so I don't know if it has changed at all.
