What kinda MPG are you guys getting?

I have a 2009 Yamaha Royal Star Venture with Hannigan conversion kit. Without a passenger running about 65mph I get 28mpg. At 70, around 26 mpg. Higher than that it can vary anywhere from 20 to 25. I know 80 is about 20 to 21.

Pulling a trailer with about 300 lbs and a passenger 140 lbs I was getting about 23/24 mpg running 65 to 70 and 22mpg 70 to 75.

Bare in mind US gallons is not Australian Gallons.

US gallon =3.8 litres, everywhere else 4.22 litres to a gallon. (hell knows why)

So I'll convert it so its is for US miles per gallon.

Tweety, when he had the VW 1916cc engine and runs an auto box got US 25mpg cruising highway, 20 mpg towing 1250lb trailer.

The ea81 Subaru Brat engine replaced the VW. all minor upgrades were done- weber carb, etc. best economy 31mpg highway cruise, towing 23mpg. Not bad for an auto.

Who knows with the addition of the supercharger. will know soon though.

If I hit the 30 mpg mark with my '10 TG, I feel blessed. Keeping in mind HD rates it at 48 mpg on highway...when going downhill for 100 miles straight probably.

Just did Wing Ding, total from home and back, back and forth to rally site, was 850 miles, pulling wife's suitcase (Escapade trailer) '97 GL1500,average 28 mpg.
We do about 5mph over on highway, tach is at about 3500rpm at that speed.
Bought the Blue Lightning spark plugs on a whim with some friends.Installed yesterday.
They say if I don't get what they promise in better gas milage and increase horsepower,I can get my money back.We will see.

On the way home from Maggie Valley we were getting around 30 mpg, or just a bit more. That was 2-up on flat, mostly straight 4 lanes, pulling a Bunkhouse camper, running at 70 - 75 mph. Normal riding in the Ozarks, curvy roads and much slower we have gotten a high of 41 mpg, usually average around 35mpg.

For the VW folks, when we had The Blue Trike, 1835cc type 1, 40mm dual-throat Dell'Orto DRLA carb Trike Shop Runabout we got around 25mpg.

When new got around 38 but after tuner kit and three adjustments to cool it down some I get between 29-32 depending if two up and how aggressive I ride. Oh have cam screaming eagle mufflers, air intake and the HD Tune kit.

Stock 1600 DP on a '66 IRS transaxle with 195/70R14 tires

I'm getting an average of 29 mpg. I'm looking for some taller tires in hopes of improving that a bit.
