Hello everyone! I am so excited to see a forum for us faithful trike riders! Being a bit on the tiny side, I was too intimidated by the big bikes on two wheels. I presently drive (2) V8 Chopper trikes (385 HP & 510 HP). These are my first bikes ever and I truly enjoy them. I am always interested in attending trike events, so if there are some "must attends", please let me know.

A big welcome to you ChopperChick! I'm so glad you found our forum. Be sure to start a private album on your profile page and let us see your rides . Looking forward to getting better acquainted with you.

Welcome aboard V8, We love our trikes and are always interested in what others ride. We have a pretty diverse "family" here, and we're glad you became part of it. Just jump right in and don't be shy. :yay:

Wow I am impressed. Are they home built or Boss Hoss or what?
Welcome aboard can't wait to see the trike and you too. Where ya from?

Welcome to the boards Chopper Chick, great bunch of people here, I'm sure you'll fit right in. Good rally to try to hit is Americade in Lake George, N.Y. probably around 14 hrs. from you. If you have Nitrous maybe 8 hrs. LOL

It took forever getting my bike pictures to size but I think I did it in my profile album. These are not Boss Hoss or home built bikes. The make is V8 Chopper. They are out of Miami, OK. A few years ago me and my other half were in Daytona for bike week. We were interested in the Boss trike and took one for a test ride. While I did like it, the steering was a little more stiff than I had hoped for. We left the BH trailer and approached the V8 Chopper trailer. After two days of kicking it around, we finally ordered one. The manufacturer was so good to us, we bought more.

They are a lot of fun and really grab more attention than one needs. (I do have NOS bottles on a couple. Yes, they are hooked up too!) I am hopeful we can catch up on some rides this summer!

I have met the V8 chopper folks. Miami (Pronounced My-am'-a around here)
OK is just a short ride from where I live. Stop by every once in a while. They were at a bike show in Joplin once set up right next to the Ridley display, back when Ridley only made 3/4 size bikes. Pretty funny contrast. Took a test ride on one of their 2 wheelers a while ago. Pretty massive, but didn't feel as heavy as I thought. Well built, too. Almost turned down the test ride when I saw a sticker on top to the triple tree that said:"More B-lls Than Brains"

Another little LADY on a big A$$ trike :p Yes I love the trike . Never heard of it but it looks less bulky than the Boss Hoss and more streamlined .
Don't think we will ever hook up unless you come this way , or try to make Americade this year. I can see where it gets a lot of attention.

QUOTE=BlueTrinity;11230]Imagine what you would have thought if it had N0S bottles hanging on the sides!:gah:[/QUOTE]

LOL - It did have the bottles! That, and a 406ci Chevy smallblock was the reason for the sticker.[

BTW V8chick,

My comment wasn't being critical of your ride. I'm an old drag race driver, but just can't imagine twisting the throttle wide open and pushin' the button with 406ci of nitro fueld V8 between my legs.

I'm guessing a dark brown smell would be hangin' around for months.

Saw a Boss Hoss with a Blower and NO2 .. talk about Caraaaazzz. he was first at a light when it turned green he took off slow and then hit Nitrous and disappeared in smoke . that was down town Lake George with 1,000's of bike parked on the side of the road:p

V8 did you check out Mattels album he has a few V8's at Daytona
I have one in mine under NY Bike show . I still like the style of yours best. You never answered ,how do u shift?

JL- yeah, I'm going to have to go snooping in everyone's photo albums. When I first got on here, I saw a photo of a V8 Boss Trike which belongs to a fine woman named Phyllis. I have not seen her profile but her bike photo appeared on the "random" web photos. There's a bunch of V8 (and non-V8) riders going to Miami, OK for a new "East meets West" rally. It's being held at the Buffalo Chip Casino on May 21 thru May 25th (memorial weekend). If anyone is interested in attending, all bikers are welcome. I understand they expect over 100 bikes. As for the shifting, my trikes are two-speed power glides on 9-inch Ford rear ends. The shifter is on the left side near the base of the fuel tank.
