Patriot Guard Riders

I know we have members here that are also PGR.I have not been a member long,but it is very humbling to participate in these rides.For those of you who do not know most of the PGR rides are vet.funerals.The best ones are welcome home rides for returning vets.What I am really trying to get at is the amount of KIA rides there are.We are loosing a lot of brave soldiers everyday.If you know one or meet one on the street please say thank you.RIDE SAFE

I was the ride captain last week for an Vet who survived his time in the sand box only to be fatally injured falling off a roof. He graduated from a rival high school the same year I did..1984. It was our honor to stand for him.

We had a mission last Saturday to honor a 31 year vet. Proud to stand for those who can't.

We get daily requests for rides. I wish I had the time and $ to take off and honor each and every one. I'm glad that America is recognizing what "ULTIMATE SACRIFICE" means so they can enjoy their freedom. SEMPER FI..

I am very proud to be a member of the Patriot Guard and participate in many rides,wheather it is KIA, or a vet from a previous war that we are standing the line for,we do it with honor. I am a past military man having served during the Vietnam conflict and was treated poorly when returned home like most.Until recently these people have just started to be recognized as the warriers and heros that they deserve to be recognized as. But now we can only do that at their funerals.The Patriot Guard is honoring all who have searved our country and defended my daily freedoms.

Bustedwing's statement above makes me think back to my military days during Vietnam. I clearly remember being told "NOT" to wear our uniforms when we went out on liberty. They didn't want us to become targets for the protesters and wind up in fights. Yes,, things have finally changed for the better!

Denise we stand for women and men.We had a welcome home mission for a 23 year old lady a couple of weeks ago.Sure was fun never heard so much screaming,crying and seen so much hugging.RIDE SAFE

I am a PGR member. I had the honour to stand the line last year with South Dakota PGR
Here in Western Australia I am A Patriot supporter. Patriots MC is made up of mostly Vietnam Vets, but also is a club for serving men and women. They are also affiliated with the Disabled Veterans Association-- and try to care and support Vets and military personnel. We also raise money for charity with our rides.
The reason for this story.... is that they have a patch available. It is a unique patch depicting all the services.
If any PGR, Vets etc, would like to purchase the patch, it is $10 [I will pay postage] just PM me.

I had the same experience when I returned from Nam. Happy to see our Vets getting the respect they deserve. I am a member of the PGR unfortunately my work schedule has prevented me from riding so far, but hope to change that in the near future.... Be Safe... Ride Safe...
