You won't regret it. After 2 wheels for a couple years you'll find that 3 on a wing is just as good.
Decided I wanted to see how the Goldwing rode so I rented one for a couple days, I want one. I may be off 3 wheels for awhile because I'm going to send the Triglide down the road and ride a new wing on 2 wheels for a couple years before triking it.

Not sure if I have free time or I just forgot everything I was suppose to do.
Retired and highly recommend it.
Just be sure you stay in the 3-wheel forum family, Mike!!!! Wouldn't be the same without you!

I too am thinking of going back to a GW 2 wheeler... I love the trike but some times... I take my FJR 1300 out and I really enjoy the leaning even with my co pilot. Not going to buy new... maybe a 2005-2009?
But for over night trips.. GL8 trikes... much more storage and ease of use for two.

Can't believe you are giving up a Harley. Oh well you'll be back. Are you selling the triglid? You are keeping the Ultra I hope? Jim P.S. I would like to go back to 2wheels but the wife says if I do she won't ride on it,only because I wasn't so sure of myself anymore. Never know, still could happen.
nothing wrong with winging it.They are dependable!
The Wing is deffinetly the power and smoothest ride ever. Never rode one you can't imagine the feeling.

I'm either selling or trading in the Triglide, my 06 Ultra is not going anywhere. I still like Harley's I just detest what the bean counters are doing to a company that has been around for so long. I've always been the type who never cared what a person road just as long as they road. I have always been intrigued with the Wing but never had the chance to really ride one any farther than around the block.
I put around 500 miles on the rental which would have been more had I not had to dodge storms. I was amazed at how it handled and road, the power and low end torque is wonderful.
The best part is when caught in heavy city traffic it along with the rider stays cool.

You're right about the power. They will blow you away. I was just telling the boss last nite after seeing your post,I would like to ride a triked Wing. Just to see how they handle & how much power they have, Rode a 1984 Goldwing back in 1990. Friend of mine always wanted to ride a Harley. He rode my 1988 Softail Custom & I rode his Wing. My butt was so sore I couldn't wait to get off that thing. He ended up buying a Heritage Softail. He also bought a newer Wing & triked it. He just passed away 2wks ago. Maybe I could put a 1800 in my triglide. LOL!! Have fun with it mike & maybe I'll see you next year at the rally. Jim
I was out riding this past weekend on a 2007 Ultra that was triked... I was in 5th and I wanted to pass someone and I had no more throttle... this happens all the time with the ultra's I ride. On the GW Trikes...it seems like I can pass in any gear..NO PROBLEM!
There is no doubt in my mind that the Wing is a much better Trike than the Harley... just as there is no doubt in my mind that Harley trikes look cool!

I will say the seat on the Wing stinks, one of the things I will need to address. My a$$ feels like it has been bruised. I won't be making the rally next year, 900 miles eats more vacation than I have to deal with. I always plan a 7 day trip with the wife to Nashville and then a 10 or so day trip with my dad, doesn't leave much vacation left for other things. Maybe the following year it will be back in Maggie Valley and I can attend.

Power is 6 cylinder . I can drop to 25Mph on my 1500 trike and just twist the grip and go back up to 60 . I never shift a gear once I am over 40mph that is with 2 up or pulling a trailer. Only time I need to use 4th is pulling a hill for more than a min or 2 ..I don't think you can compare an 84 seat with a 2010. If you need more comfort there are 20 company's that make seats for the wing.http://www.saddlemen.com/products/sa...eats/road-sofa

I like Harley because of the sound, vibration, mystic,American made(most of it).I miss my 88 Softail Custom. It really vibrated. It was solid mounted to the frame.
We use the Air Hawk air cushions on our 2008 GW trikes. Doesn't take but just a little-bit of air - that seat gets nice and cushy! If you put in too much air the Air Hawk gets hard as a rock - you just have to experiment with it. I've had the original-style cushion since 2008 - never has leaked or failed in any way. Hubby purchased the man-style cushion this spring. We really like them...its a cheaper "fix" than a whole new after-market seat for sure. Jim and Carla
That is one of the things which stood out, I hardly ever had to shift which was great. I got to ride some hills and had no problems even accelerating on them in 5th gear. Yesterday I sat down and came up with a list of accessories that I want right off the bat, the seat will come down the road once I make up my mind. The two you mention are on my list of possibles.
