    I am having my Voyager triked out with a Champion Kit. It is under way and I will post photos soon after it's arrival.

    Did you put a front fork rake kit on? Also did you tighten more than a stock 2 wheeler the steering stem nut?

    When I assembled my trike, it took me the better part of a week mostly by myself to put it together. I order the kit through a local dealer and he ordered the rake kit through another manufacturer so they came at two different times. Champion called me and the dealer when it was time to paint so I took one of the saddle bag up for paint matching and then the next week I put the rake kit on. When I had a firm date on when the kit would be finished and ready for pick-up I stripped my bike down and was ready for installation. I picked up the kit on a Friday morning and started installation later that afternoon and I was finished I thin on Thursday the next week. The belt alignment process took the better part of a day and I spent almost another day trying to get the body centered. The body on my trike is off about 3/32" to the left side. MY arms were not long enough to remove the front body mounts to enlarge the holes. Installation of the body was done by myself, it weighs about 80 lbs. Champion was the choice for me because it was the only one that would let you mount the kit yourself and it is only about 120 mile north of me in Garden Grove, Ca.

    Good news to hear.

    As I posted, I want to do the work myself, and I've been looking at Champion and Mystery Designs, since the others require an installer.

    I can get the Mystery Designs cheaper, and pick it up from Dallas (I'm in Texas, so I could cancel the shipping cost),

    but, Mystery Designs doesn't have a bolt together kit for the Voyager.

    Did you take and "In Progress" photos?

    Would be great to see them.

    Default Un-crated our Champion Kit for the 2009 Kawasaki Voyager

    Our Champion trike kit finally made it to Texas, last Tuesday. Selena and I drove to San Antonio to pick it up, then left for the DFW area on Thursday. We got home yesterday, so I was finally able to unload it from the truck, and crack it open.

    All was in great shape, and we were able to get it all un-crated and moved into the shop. Good thing, the rains moved in this afternoon. :-(

    My plans are to photo document the entire build. The instructions can use some help, so I'll be working on an addendum too.

    Gotta admit, Champion makes a fantastic kit.

    Congratulations. After you get into it the instructions will be more clear. I did one in 2009 and it was fairly easy. Have fun

    I would suggest that if you have long arms and can reach the front mounting bolts for the body, you might want to elongate the mounting holes in the body before you mount the body on the trike. I used a 12 inch ratchet and was just barely able to loosen and tighten the nuts.

    Actual working time in hours was about a week, 40 hours, to install my Champion kit on my Victory by myself. It was spread over a couple weeks though as life happens. I can't fathom how you installed your body yourself. Did you use some type of lift or hoist? I had a friend stop by help me lift mine off. Have yet to reinstall though as now I'm working on the front end.

    Default Champion Voyager Conversion: Where I'm At

    Since we got back from our "Christmas" trip, New Year's weekend, I've been working on the Voyager conversion, around all kinds of other stuff, and have made pretty good headway.

    I've got to do more tweaking on the left exhaust, but have to wait until the new muffler gasket comes in. The right one was re-usable, but the left one is stuck to the muffler pipe, that had to be cut off.

    So far, the kit's been an easy install, and I've only had to open up two bolt holes. I did have to grind powder coat off the ends of the "Swin Arm," so it would fit between the frame.

    The kit was supposed to come with trailer wiring, as I ordered the hitch kit, but it's no where to be found. Luckily, I had been towing a trailer already, and have trailer wiring that will work.

    Right now, I need to bust the rear brake system apart, and install the new brake line. I've been avoiding it, as I HATE working with brake fluid. Oh well, that's my To Do list, for the day.
