Helmet locks

Just wondering if any of you have any type helmet locks for the TG.

Used to have some on the rear saddlebag crash bars on my Ultra but have not yet found anything for the TG. Would come in handy traveling when tour pak and trunk are packed full. Do not always want to leave them on the seats in the open.

Yes, I know, carrying them is an option.

Don't know about a TG but I have the ones that fit on the brake and clutch leaver bolts like this CLICK HERE or if you have Kuryakyn ISO Grips you can get THESE.

I carry a handgun cable lock for this use. Run it thru both sets of D rings and around the passenger grab handle. To be honest we find it more convenient to just carry them in with us.

I also use "gun' cable locks. Once around the helmet chin bar then to the passenger grab bars... We let one helmet hang on each side...

Two long-shackle padlocks from Home Depot. Run shackle through the D-rings and lock to the luggage rack. Ten dollar solution.

All good ideas and had not thought of any of them. No Kuryakyn grips right now, but maybe in the future.

I have never heard of someone stealing a helmet. Of course I don't have an 800 dollar Arai either.

Have friends that had helmets stole while on a trip. I don't think they were after the helmets as much as the headsets. Something to think about.

You are blessed once for never hearing of lowlife scumbag helmet stealing thieves and twice for not being the victim of afore mentioned scumbags.
The only thing that will keep your helmet yours is keep it out of sight.
Like the saying goes, "out of sight out of mind". Lock thru the D rings only slows down a lowlife theft. That scumbag has no problem cutting the strap next to the D ring, then merely stitching a new D ring on the shorter strap. And it doesn't have to be a $800.00 helmet neither! It only has to be a little better than the last helmet he stole. The only requirements are, got to see it and the easier the better.
