    Default rush mufflers and true dual head pipes

    I have an 2010 triglide and I am going to put rush muffers with 1.75 baffles , rush true dual head pipes, the big sucker air intake and the tts master tune to reduce heat and improve performance. Has anyone done this setup? If so I would be interested in knowing how it worked out for you including gas consumption as well Thanks

    I was close to that setup with the Rush true duals and mufflers with 2 inch baffles, SE air cleaner and the SE Pro tuner. When they ran it on the dyno it put out 85 hp. and 101 ft. lbs. torque. I added the Wood TW555 cam and it went to 92 hp. and 110 on the torque. I have since switched to the SE Fatshotz mufflers (the Rush were too load for us) and like them better with no loss in power per the dyno. Fuel mileage went from 31 to 27 towing a 400 lb. trailer.

    I've got the Rush slip-ons with stock head pipes and the SE air intake. Dealer did the SE upload. 25,000 miles later trike runs great, sounds good, and have no problems with anything. Wife has Reinhardt slip-ons, everything else is the same. We both are very happy.

    I had these changes installed. The tuner is the one that just came out of Beta testing. My ride had 14 k miles when the changes were made so I was used to roasting my right foot and the lack of power. With the changes it was like getting a new ride. The heat is gone. The temps where the cat was are reduced by 300 to 320 degrees according to my heat gun. Power and torque are improved and the average mpg went from 30 to 34 in mixed highway and town riding. I am a very happy camper at this point. Thanks Livin2Ride and Screwball for your comments.

    I have the rush true duals [cat out] stage 1 upgrade with air cleaner, Running stock mufflers right now, [rush 1.75 on order]
    MPG's around town 34/35, Highway 38/39+
    Runs strong, almost no heat in the summer, But now in the cooler weather i kinda miss the heat

    I posted the results of my changes on 9/25/12. Since then I have continued to be very happy with the changes. I am going to have the map changed to provide more fuel on the top end in 6th gear. Currently I run out of fuel around 87 mph and still have a lot throttle left. Has anyone figued out what the top end speed would approximatly be for a set up like I have. Thanks

    Having more throttle left doesn't mean it needs more fuel. Just throwing more fuel at it may not deliver much of an improvement in MPH. You might have to play with fuel & timing and then its a give and take situation. An engine tuned to give you everything it has to offer on the top end may not be a happy engine when fuel quality gets poor. Your only going to be able to push that aerodynamic brick so fast with a stock engine.

    When I had my Triglide I never saw where the top end was, I know I saw 90 mph while pulling my trailer one day passing a string of cars on flat ground with no head wind but it wasn't stock.

    If you are trying to push up your top end MPH, you need more HP. Overcoming drag is what increases speed. Trikes push a LOT of air (drag). To overcome drag, you need to have the ponies on tap to do the job.

    Personally, I'd rather have the bottom end grunt, which is a product of torque. I can ride fast enough to scare myself, and still have plenty of bottom end to get rolling.
