congratulation.
Hey guys, told you I would let you know how my trip to N West Ill & wisconsin was. I left Sat morning & took the In. toll road. Did 70mph the whole way in 5th. gear. That was my break in with the new jugs they installed. The service manager told me to drive it like I normally do. If I used any oil I didn't notice it. I put on 712mi this weekend. That is some beautifull riding country.
Went to Savannah & Galenia,Ill. Hilly & winding roads. The bike ran great & got 38mpg at 70mph. I didn't think that was too bad. Can't figure out why I got better mileage. Plus it doesn't ping anymore. It used to ping all the time going up hills. If they retuned it that might have messed up my Dyno Tune a little but it seems to run just as strong. I'm a happy camper right now. Just hope it stays that way.
Now for the bad news. A semi threw up something & it hit the fairing. It gouged it preety good. If it ain't one thing it's another. It's been that way all year. Oh well at least it didn't hit me in the face. That would have hurt!!!. Jim
congratulation.
glad you did well. sorry about the fairing

YIPPEEE...on the jugs...sucks about the fiberglass
Great to hear the engine is doing good, its broke in now. The pinging you where experiencing before could have been caused by the oil consumption.
Sucks to hear about the fairing, I had a dump truck toss a rock and take a pretty good chip out of the right fender of the trike when it wasn't even a year old.

What a great report!! Especially after all of the hell you went through! Congratulations and ride safe!!!
Thanks guys. Hope the luck holds up. What did you do with the fender? Don't know weather to fix it or not. Don't want to claim on insurance. They will just raise your rates. Legalized extortion. Jim

I wish the fairing gouges were only 1/8". Oh well sucks to be me. I had another laser surgery today. So another 2wks of no work. I will be 3mo. since I worked. Too bad I couldn't be out riding across country. But with no work comes with no money. Ride safe everybody. Jim
