Ride up Pikes Peak

Day 5 of our trip to NM and Colorado ends with a ride up "PIKES PEAK" . In 1986 I rode up it on a 1100 Gold Wing this time I rode up it on a 1800 Goldwing Trike. How things have changed. But I'm still riding and thats what counts. The road up was dirt and gravel now it's black top. In 86 it was free now they charge you $12.00 per person. But the experience of doing it is priceless.

Our next adventure will be sometime next year. We are planning a ride on Route 66 to Barstow Ca. then ride into death Valley. We hope you enjoyed the Photo Shows.

Great pictures/vids! Is there more than one entrance? I was there about 5 years ago, the road was still gravel, only one lane and it had a hugh visitor area plus you could ride the train up. I went in from the old town of Colorado Springs. I could do the road that you just posted, but I couldn't do the gravel, plus was too scared to ride the train. Was really glad I didn't as a tornado came through about an hour after we left the visitor centor. Thanks for sharing.

Just one way up and down. They have done alot to Pikes Peak since 1986. It is a good ride, but not for the faint of heart!
