Helping the Needy.....

Went and helped out with a Feed The Children trip today. Put on by the local chapter of the Star Riders Group. Good people and they had around 300 or so people turn out to pick up the food. You can view photos here.....

This is the least that I could do. In 2006 I was among the homeless. Due to a LOT of hard work I managed to get out of that and get back on my feet. So I try and do what I can for charities as often as I can.

Heartiest congratulations! You have faced and overcome a problem where many, if not most, have failed. I don't know your story but I feel certain that if it could be diseminated to others presently in your former position it would prove inspirational.

Nice work and I am sure it comes from the heart. You can feel good not only pulling yourself up by your bootstraps but now helping others do the same.

There are some that choose to be there and there are others, like myself, that ended up there by a series of bad choices and circumstances. And then there are those that, because they HAVE been there for a while, feel that there is no way out and just give up trying. It's those people that I would try and help the most.

But then you also have those that are simply "taking advantage" for the "free" stuff they can get their hands on.
