Arrgghh - I just got a rock chip in the paint on my trike just above the MotorTrike "bra" on the fender. What is the clear material called that is used as a protective covering and where to get it?

3M and other film makers produce it. I am not sure of its name. Suggest you google protective film or call a auto body shop. I think if you contacted 3M, they would give you the SKU and a suggested source to buy it. They are a bugger to put on so I had a auto body shop install them for me. Gave the installer a tip as well.

Just noticed you are from Austin. Will be there tomorrow (Spicewood Springs Road) to have my body punctured. Acupuncturist.

You have in Austin, one of the finest Goldwing mechanics that is found anwhere. His name is Bob Whitney. He has a self-contained workshop in his garage and can do anything on a wing.
