The brakes feel weak because....they suck!
If you got 12k on your pads, they may be completely worn now and in need of replacement.

I have had Lydall on rear for 18 months. I see no differents in them and stock. Rear breaks suck. I thank they are too small.

I have the Lyndalls on wifes TG and didnt notice a lot of difference until I had the rotors drilled by lyndall. The lyndalls do wear much better than the stock.
My current rides, all modified in some way.

It seem like the rear disk brakes developed by Harley-Davidson for the Tri Glide are inadequate and too small. Does anyone think that Harley-Davidson or someone else will develop a replacement kit with larger rotors and improved calipers. Looks to me that there is an great opportunity for someone to making a killing on this

Hmmmmm, our Tglide rear brakes are very strong. If the rear brakes can be locked up, how much more powerful do they need to be?

Here is something I have read that the brake fluid breaks down and causes spongee brakes..Example on my 2000 ultra the fraont brake stopped ok but the lever was spongee so one day I decided to change the brake fluid and use my new fancy brake bleeder I purchased..Boy did it make a difference and the spongee brake went away..
Over the winter I plan on experimenting bleeding the rear brakes on the triglide.I noticed after the dealer changed my brake switch earlier this year the rear brakes did not feel the same..

here is something else I have found on the net..

    BOIL-OFF
The extreme pressure and high heat common to braking can push conventional brake fluid beyond its boiling point, causing it to vaporize, or "boil-off." Even more problematic, water contamination can drop the boiling point of conventional fluid below safe standards, accelerating the rate at which it boils off. This leads to a spongy or unresponsive feeling in the brake pedal.

I purge the brake systems every 2 to 3 years, you'd be amazed at how nasty the old fluid looks.

Yes and they already have them for the earlier years last time I emailed Paul..
