I'm looking at a 2008 Stallion and thinking of giving up my Roadking for three wheels. Just wondering if any year has more defects than others. anyone have any info ?
Thanks, Minterdad :Excited:

I can't answer the "defects"question, but if its just three wheels you are after, why not think about triking the Roadking? You already know your Roadking.
Now if it is auto-trans,heat and air conditioning you are after, that's different.
There is alot of Stallion owners on here that could answer your original question.

thanks on the triking of my roadking idea but I thought about that and yes i'm looking at the full body and comfort. My two wheeled buddies will give me a hard time for goin three wheels so I thought I would just as well be comfortable.
Minterdad.

There are a few thing the 08 Stallions are known for, front bearing and ladder bars being replaced are the two main thing I can think of. If you are looking at a 08 Stallion you need to find out what has been done by the factory or dealer on these items. I have a 08 Stallion and other than that I have been very happy with my choise of getting the Stallion.

All 2008s also have the fiberglass bodies vice the units produced with ABS ones in 2009 / 2010 OR have been retrofitted with one due to damage.

our 08 we never had a problem with the ladder bars, but we did have to have the front caliber mounting plate bearing replaced by the factory. Done under warrantee. My wife has 50 k on hers and loves it.

You are on the right site to learn more about the Stallion !!! About the word "defects", I really feel like it was more of a learning curve for TMS with the first ones being built. If they [TMS] needed to change something, they did and also changed it for the previous ones out there. They have been very good about taking care of their owners. I've had mine for 3 years and
33k and it still looks like it came off the showroom floor and runs smooth as silk. After riding with several other types of trikes, I would buy another Stallion over them in a heart beat!!!
