Not too bad. It's still a shame that they did away with the Valkyrie line as that's what this closely resembles.....<br />

Seems to me that, although NOW it looks like a pretty decent "bagger", after it's triked out you would lose that particular "look".......

Just a cheaped out Goldwing... no trunk, shaved fairing and crappy seats. No thanks. Still waiting for the re-emergence of the "Valkyrie"... they're not there yet, keep working Honda.

It IS going to make a nice trike and will be a quite viable and marketable unit overall. A "Cousin", so to speak, to the GL. Not a true Sibling. The F6 will appeal to a new Owner/Rider demographic much more so than those already in the GL fold. This is Honda's intention and aim with this machine evidenced by its assigned nomenclature. Not a GL,,, An F6. Even more of a market-share grab offering than the variations of the HD FLH platforms.
We shall see but my money is on the bet that they have a winner here and will be effective in bringing more prospective Owners to the Honda family that beforehand were not even giving it a serious second thought. One must put themselves on the table before they can enter the final hands. This is an Ante that will give them greater opportunities to be in more All-In moments of which they were previously not even invited to.

The Valkyrie was also known as an "F6" and became quite popular as well. And STILL has quite a following. But we all know what happened with that model....The "Rune".......and then sales fell of and it became a discontinued model. If they had stuck with the Valkyrie, as it was, it would still be a viable option to the GoldWing.

As a matter of fact, if the Valkyrie had been available when I was shopping I would have most certainly been looking at that model.

It is an 'Awesome' two wheeler and I am sure it will look good as a stripped down trike. I like the trunk, taller windshield and comfort of my 2012.

I do think with some work and the right kit it would be a bike night winner!

How does the new F6B differ from the Valk? Looks to me like Honda finally recognized their mistake in retiring the Valk and came out with v2.0.

Now if only they'd release v2.0 of the VTX1800...

The Valkyrie had a MUCH more exposed engine and a LOT less plastic covering everything up. All THIS is, to me, is a cheaped down version of the Wing. It's definitely not a Valkyrie Part Two......

This new F6 clearly has nothing to do with the great Valkyrie. Here's a couple of photos of my old trike. Wish I still had her. She would've made a great stable mate to the Wing.

There isn't a comparison to the Valkyrie. As a matter of fact if I could have found a good deal on a triked out Valkyrie I would have made that purchase. But I don't think I could have made any better deal than what I got.

Making a comparison of this F6B to the Valkyrie is just short of blasphemous!!!!!

    Old School - New School.... GL1500 - GL1800..... Valk - F6B....

What it comes down to is personal preference. Mine leans toward the "New School" side. Nothing wrong with the older stuff but I like the cleaner meaner lines and state of the art machine... JMHO

Over the years there has been the GL1000, GL1100, GL1200, GL1500, GL1800. All have been Gold Wings. Then along came the Valkyrie, which Honda did not designate as a GL anything. It was the F6 with a leaning more towards the cruiser side of things.

Now they come out with this F6-B which in absolutely NO way even closely resembles a Valkyrie. At least with the GL series they all look like a Gold Wing.

This "new" model is simply a stripped 2012 GL1800 without a trunk, shorter windshield and a different style seat. It will most certainly appeal to a lot of people, I have no doubt about that. But it is NOT a Valkyrie. All one has to do is look at the engine area for that comparison. This model still has all of the plastic covering the engine compartment. Nor does it have the Valkyrie tank logo.....
