Had a spare key cut at Walmart today. $1.81 for Access 24R, works fine in ignition & trunk. Dont waste $30. for a coded key made by a Ford dealer.

Hi, I sent off an e-mail to Nick at TBMS tonight about the SMARTLOC system. I am not expecting a lot, but maybe if we all start asking maybe they will respond. At least tell us it can not be activated if that is the case. If it can be then I for one want it activated even if it cost a couple of bucks. Ted

$60 bucks lost because the stuipid book said that was the type of key needed. AAAAGGGGGGG

I read the book over and over, and I figured it out because the lights that were suspose to come one for the lock system never did. Of course I called TBMS to confirm. I am going to break down and get an alarm system, another key fob for my fricken key chain.....

I must admit I saw the same thing with the gage lights, but when the key worked I just figured I had managed to program it to spite myself, o well, we have 4 keys and it has already paid off. I let my Pastor drive around the parking lot and when he got off he put the key in the helmet, helmet in the trunk and shut the trunk. Lucky me I had the extra $ 30 key on my Vulcan and could open it right up.

His Dad is dying so I had gone over to put the Pastor on the bike to try and lift his spirits, he actually burst out laughing riding it around in circles in the lot. It was good medicine to a good man.

Mattel, What story did they give you as to why the system does not work? I have my response posted under the thread passive key. Ted
