Fish & chip Run

Joined fellow members of the Patriots M/C last night and went on a short run for fish & chips for tea Nice evening.... and great reason to ride the trike pepper

Well, today is Friday here in NH and fish & chips sounds great with a cup of fish chowda (New England for chowder)!
Janice says she would like for you to bottle some of your summer heat and send it this way, not bad today, 5F, yesterday it was -2F with the windchill factor on top of Mount Washington at -70F, so it is warmer!
Janice says a nice cup of Earl Gray breakfast tea and cranberry/orange scones sounds great!
Our trike is still sleeping for a few more months, till spring heads our way. Did a bit of rewiring on the trike this winter and maybe do some painting on the wheel hubs to make them look better.

I came to love Fish and Chips in Ireland 1959 and 60. I came to believe that if the fish is not Cod then it's not real Fish and Chips and you must also have malt with it ! I know of two Irish pubs in Punta Gorda that do it right. Some Day I'll open a Keltic Ray in my area just so I don't have to ride so far for my snacks .

Try fresh haddock fish & chips and you wlll never go back to cod! There aren't to many places outside of New England where you can get fresh haddock fish & chips!

I agree! The Navy had me living on the North Sea in Scotland in 1963 to 1965 and I lived off base in a small town. There was a fish and chips place just across the street from where I lived and that building was older than this country. Fish and chips rolled up in newspaper with malt vinegar, doesn't get any better than that. Folks in New England think they invented it but it existed before they did. I've had good fish in this country, but for some reason the chips are not as good, and usually cut like french fries, not chunks.

We didn't invented it, but in this country, New England is the best place to have fish & chips! You are right about the fish & chips wrapped in newspaper, it is good! Been there and done that, and have a tee shirt.

Cod is an English abomination, in Scotland it's haddock and double fried chips.

My trike is like the bears, it hibernates through the worst of the weather. We have had what for us an unusually heavy snowfall. Probably a mere dusting by your standards but we aren't geared up for it as its pretty rare.

Sorry to hear about your snowfall. I know what you mean if your area is not geared for snow, as it is in parts of our southern states. I was in TN and the local goverment asked the area farmers to use their tractors to plow the streets so people could get around for medical purposes.
Here in New England we have the equipment to keep rolling in the heaviest snowfalls.
Hope the snow melts and you can enjoy a few trip on your trike. Meanwhile a cup of hot tea and scones are not a bad way to enjoy a winter's day! Here in NH, a cup of coffee and a sweet roll is not bad either! Great day today, 22F and clear as a bell!

Double fried chips? Maybe that's why they tasted so good. I didn't know I was eating Haddock, but they were the best I've ever had.

You fry them until they are almost cooked, let them cool then fry them until golden brown.
