I have a couple of these - for the price they are almost disposable. They are about 5"X2"X1 1/4", have a hook and a magnet on the back. I just hang it fom the hook and aim it into the trunk. The hook is tight enough that it can hang sideways, and when the ball-and-socket wears a bit I popped off the hook, but a piece of wax paper over the socket and poppped it back together. The only thing I don't like is that if it is off, the switch will turn on either the 3 LED's at the end, or the 24 on the face depending on the last setting. When I'm done wit it I usually turn off the 24 LEDs, push the switch to turn on 3 LEDs at the end, then push the swtich to turn those off. Next push of the switch will turn on the 24 LEDs. Sounds more compicated than it is. Nice little light for a nice little price.
