What a suprize!!!!!!!!!!!

The story spans about 3 years of bad things happening, so I'll try to keep it short. Wife, and best friend, diagnosed with cancer....beat that. Wife and best friend has a damaged nerve in right leg, getting a pain blocking device put in, which will beat that. Daughter diagnosed with cancer for second time, beat that, again. Ok now you got an idea of why I have not been on the site much lately. So, I figured, I had better get all the things I have promised to do over the years done. I don't want to have something terrible happen to my wife, and feel the guilt of not holding up my promises. New patio deck, DONE! New wood floors,Done! Painted the living room and dining room,DONE! Well, it seems my wife and best freind, along with her oldest son, Todd, did a little sneakin' around and wanted to suprize me. Hows about a brand new, in da box 1911 Combat Elite Colt .45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I about fell over!

The boy had bought it to sell as a small investment, and I had seen it on a previous visit whilst he was home from the gulf of Mexico. (works on a ship for the oil platforms). I had fired his other toy that visit, a Combat Special, and it was the finest shooting pistol I had ever had the pleasure of firing. I was in love, and GREEN with envy. I would never spend that kind of money on a firearm. Any way, The wife keeps Todd's condo rented in Fla. whilst he is at sea, and it helps pay for itself. Todd is very generous to her for doing this, and pays her pretty danged well, and we get first pick when it's empty and we want to stay down there. Well, she gave up her earnings, and Todd gave her the pistol, to give to me. I teared up bigtime, and told them both what a phenominal suprise this was to me. I actually thought at first she was messin' with me. I thought "Dammit girl, this aint funny", and couldn't believe it, as she handed the blue box to me. Just wanted to share something good and fun for a change. Lord knows we all need some "HAPPY" in our lives right now. Kinda gettin a little watery eyes again....... jimsjinx PS... 2 inch groups at 20 yards!!!!!!!

Well hi Lucky!!!!! Yeah, we miss the folks and fun,too. I can't seem to convince some members, that this medical stuff is life altering. Some, want to know "why aint' ya coming to meetin's or ridin' anymore?" LOL We have every intention of doing so, but Barb HAS to get that stimulator, or she won't be here long. It is our last hope. I can't tell you how many times we have laid out our "M" shirts, and intended to come, but she just couldn't muster the energy with enough pain meds to feel human. Keep the prayers coming, and please tell those that wonder, we are in a REALLY rough time with this. Love to all ya'all, jimsjinx
