New member here from Lake of the Ozarks land. I've been a "lurker" for a while but decided to join so that I can see the pics. Still trying to sell the wife on getting a trike....wish me luck.

Welcome Muleman, wife and I have been triking for about 15 years now. She enjoys it as much as I do. We put over 120,000 miles on our first trike (99 RK with motor trike kit). Bought a 2010 Triglide Ultra two years ago in August and have about 34,000 miles on it. We live in Climax Springs, Mo. Good luck.

Welcome to TT - glad you found us. If I did it correctly, it looks like a "mere" 168 miles from your area to Eurika Springs. If you don't have her convinced before then, mtn rider's idea sounds good to me. Bring her over to "meet the folks" - she'll be convinced for sure...

Welcome to Trike Talk from Central VA.
Welcome to Trike Talk Muleman1. We were over in Camdenton looking at an RV a few months ago. Nice Ride if we stay off I-44 coming from just south of Joplin in Anderson.
When the weather warms up Gloria and I might could ride over and give her a close up view of our '04 Goldwing Champion conversion, maybe even little test ride.

Thanks Ozarkryder, I'll trade you a tritoon ride. Just out of curiousity since I've never riden a cycle....when you get licensed in Mo. do you have to test on a two wheeler?
A few ways to go about this: You can take the knowledge test and get your permit at your local license office then enroll in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation beginners riding course. They provide the 2 wheelers to learn on and assume you have no riding experience. Pass that course and you go back to the fee office to get a motorcycle endorsement without taking the in the saddle test. The "M" endorsement is good for vehicles with less than 3 wheels on the road.
Most insurance companies will also give a 10% discount for taking the training.
You can also take the knowledge test, get the permit and take the skills test on your own. It is not hard, especially on a trike. If you take the skills test on the trike there is a "WW" restriction, holder is limited on the "M" endorsement to 3 wheels only.

If you have a friend that will let you take the wife on a ride on a trike you may have half the battle won.
