I've done a lot of wondering, weighing pros and cons and wasted a lot of time trying to decide which was most important to me: not having a flat or having my tires continuously balanced.
Last year I wanted to ride through several western states, far from any support services so flat-prevention won over balancing (after all, lead weights have always worked just fine and if you were dumb enough to inject a sealant followed with those little beads they would just be captured by the sealant and both would be useless). So I started searching and reading.
And I found Ride-On claimed to do both the balancing and the sealing! After reading several articles I became convinced and put the required amount in all three tires and set off on my 5,299 mile trip.
Results: No flats, no leaks. Did find one finishing nail in a tire and pulled it out, no problem. As to the balancing, must have worked - comfortable, without any visible wear on the almost new tires.
A one-man 5,000 mile test is hardly definitive but it worked for me and is a choice I'm happy with. pepper
