    Arrow Stallion Owner - Mikey

Since we have amongst us the first confirmed Motor Trike Stallion owner that I know of, I thought it appropriate to start a thread for Stallion owners. Mikey, this thread is for you and all of the other Stallion owners out there. Please share your experiences with the Stallion.

    Default Here we are!

Yes, we have our stallion! We went to Daytona for Bike Week twice last week (where we had the stallion pinstriped) and it ran great. We got a lot of stares and a couple of "kids" wanted to race, so I floored it for about 5 blocks and kept up with them. My wife asked me if I was 17 again! LOL We went to a BTW meeting in Inglis, FL, Saturday morning. What a nice group! And we went to a "winger" group in Leesburg, FL, Thursday evening. Another nice group! We had a couple issues with the stallion but Motortrike in Daytona is taking care of everything to our satisfaction. Libby and Russel there are the best!!

We plan to go to the GWRRA District Rally in Kissimmee this coming week-end. Hope to see you there! Any other stallion owners out there yet? I know there have been 4 deliverred in Florida and there should be a few more in the next week or so. ...............Mikey and Natalie

Here's a picture, hope it comes out OK>>>>>>>>>

    Sa-weet!

Rode (drove?) one at the Davis Rally in Iowa last year and liked it. My wife Gloria took it out for a ride too, she said it handled well and she liked it, but as she has some mobility issues it was hard for her to climb in and out of. I thought the foot room was a bit small for me, but the Motor Trike guy said the demo was a pre-production unit, they hadn't made any to sell yet, and a few changes were still to be made.

I want one added to the stable. Just need more garage space, more time to ride and more money.

    Default Stallion

Welcome back Mikey. You go away on vacation and we build you a forum. What do you think about that? Keep us up to date on life with your Stallion. A lot of people have been wanting to hear about these from an owners point of view.

We had the pinstriping done by Mountain Man. He was set up at Cycle World in Daytona. I __think__ he will be at the Florida District Wing Gathering Mar. 13-15 at the Radisson Worldgate Resort in Kissimmee.

I know what you mean about leaving at least an extra 1/2 hour to 45 minutes for questions and answers every time we stop. The handling/steering is very easy (has no power steering but not needed). If I take off too fast (which sometimes happens), the passenger's head hits the bar in back, kinda like whiplash! (She gets annoyed at that!)

Getting in and out took practice a couple times but now it's easy. Feels like the "hokey-pokey", you put your right foot in, you put your left foot in..........then put your right foot over! I DID test drive a "regular" trike but have not owned one.

WHERE are all the other stallion owners????????????

    Default Stallion owner - Mikey

Before we got our Stallion, we called a few independent insurance agents for quotes. We were surprised that EACH one asked us if we would be wearing our helmets when riding! (answer=yes). We called Geico, but they said they don't insure trikes with __automobile__ engines! Whaddya think of that?? (Something to consider.) We got insurance from Progressive. And......Administrator........thanks for the thread dedicated to Stallion owners.......of which there are......... ??????

Funny thing I just checked where everyone was at on the board. Out of 4 guest all of them were looking at this thread. Goes to show there is some intrest in the Stallion. Lots of people say they would not own one but alot say the same about a trike.

Hello everyone. First of all I would like to say that I am posting here as a Stallion owner only. I will not discuss businus about the Stallions on this board. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them at our store. Now that that is out of the way I have had my Stallion since September.

I picked it up at Wings Over the Smokies in NC last year. My grandson and I rode it back to Florida on Sunday after Wings. Since I received it before November it was a pre production unit. It had gotten it scratched on the truck to Wings. He has since taken it back to the factory to complete all modifications done after they went into production and repaint my hood, but he did leave me another demo to drive in the mean time.

I will have to wait to receive my unit back when Jeff comes to a rally near by. Probably won't be for a month or two. I had put approximately 800 miles on it before he took it. 500 of these miles were getting to Florida from NC. It ran great, drove like a dream and had no problem running with traffic with plenty of power.

The heat and A/C did exactly what they were intended to do. The worse gas mileage I have recieved was 30 MPG and the best was 49. I have always liked driving cool vehicles with plenty of power. I guess that is why I drive a Impala SS. It is laser blue and I get compliments on the color all of the time.

The Stallion is the same way. Cool Looks, Handles Great, Lots of Power, Great Gas Milage and never fails to turn heads. For those that do no like motorcycles with steering wheels, give it a try you may be pleasingly suprised. Handlebars don't make a motorcycle. Think outside the box. If you stop and look at the Level 4 GL1800 Goldwing premium sound with amps, heated seats and handgrips, navigation, antilock brakes, airbag, AM FM radio, CB, CD, etc.

If you were talking to someone that had never owned a Goldwing they would think that you were talking about a car/truck. Come on guys, just because it is not your cup of tea doesn't mean it is not a great motorcycle. Your old time HD riders don't think the Goldwing is a motorcycle but we know different don't we. I have been a Goldwinger since '92 and had Triumph's and Honda CB 750 Four when my wife and I first got married.

And I thought riding was about the fun. Not what you rode. We do not get to ride as much as we would like to working 12 to 15 hrs a day but when I do I love taking my Stallion out. It is fun and chance to meet new friends. And to me that is what riding is about.

Keep the shiney side up and may God Bless.

We had a Trike Shop Runabout - VW powered, auto tranny and never was in any way a motorcycle, it was a trike.
I don't think you have to convince anyone on this board about the Stallion. It's a trike, and it is more than welcome here.
A cool ride is a cool ride, and the stallion is a very cool trike, indeed.

    Well said Russ,

Its all about being on the road with great people you ride with and meet. If they have to ask they don't get it!!!

I don't even answer when people ask why I triked my bike, its like they really care. I just say because I wanted too.

A member of my TRI chapter here in Michigan says there is a long, long wait for the Stallion. He said he put his order in January 2008 thy were woking on 26 and he was 260 or something.

Anyway I'm glad you found the right machine and you're happy with it.

We went to the Florida GWRRA District Rally in Kissimmee this past week end. We did NOT win the '08 Goldwing but had a good time anyway. Russel and Libby from Daytona were there with a couple of goldwing trikes and one stallion.

Also, the Deputies from CMT Motorsports of Summerville, SC were there with one of their stallions. Mountain Man put more pin striping on the hood and sides of "Big Yellow".

Welcome Russel, I think U are a dealer and that is ok with me. The thing is if U can put any input in about anything some of us if not all of us would appreciate it. We have other dealers on this board and they sell different types of kits and trailers. This board so far has been really different and very diverced and hopefully it will stay that way. Good luck and ride safe.

Wayne- thats a nice looking trike. Do you build the bodies for your own mold?

I built the body from foam and epoxy+ fiberglass cloth. I did not use a mould, this is a one off. I am planning to make a plug for dansontrikes.com and he is planning on having them for sale. I would like to build one for a GW trike some time if there would be a market for it. just playing around with this stuff, having fun. Wayne
