Has anyone ever had a relay go bad on a gl1500 Roadsmith trike? & What is the secret to getting the cover off of the relay panel (clutch side)? I don't think Roadsmith was thinking very much. Had I checked it out I dam sure wouldn't have bought Oh Well hindsight is always 20/20:mad:

The relays on our GL1500 Motor Trike are right behind the bodywork that holds a side cover on. Can't get the cover off unless something gets cut or the trike body gets dropped. Sounds like the Roadsmith is the same way, and looking at it, likely most other makes are, too. Would be interessting to find out if others, like CSC, Hannigan, DFT, etc. are like this too.

:( same problem with a lehman,if need to get in there would have to do some cutting  see no other way to get to it

Not an issue with my daughts California Side Car conversion. I do not know how old it is though. The bike is a 97. When it was converted is unknown, but I can get at the relays on the left side. Ted

There is a guy over on the Goldwing riders assoc. board with an electrical problem, and he mentioned he can't get to the relays on his 2000SE with a 2008 CSC conversion. Even has pics, and it's a tight as our 1995 Motor Trike.

On edit, I just looked him up, and the guy with the electrical problems is our own Spirit Warrior. I asked him to post here, maybe someone can help him out.
