Hi Skeet7373,
Are you selling your TG after the Wiz worked his magic on it?
Yep, I went and set on a 13 GW with a CSC Viper kit. The new wings are all one color, and this one was LIPSTICK RED!! Or Candy Red as they call it. OMG, that is a beautiful color. I talked to the salesman several times and he was all happy to tell me that we could take it out for a spin. He kept telling me that I needed to come and see it. Soooo, I did, but he was all jumpy to do other things, not talk to me. Plus I went there to look at the Bunkhouse Queen Camper. When I mentioned that he tried to steer me to the camper instead of the trike. I was amazed that he didn't want to deal with me. I brought up that I wanted to ride it and he just stood there and acted as if he didn't hear me and I was looking right at him. lol, Right before I left, I asked the price and I was floored that they are raising their prices 5-6K over everyone else. And the trike didn't even have some of the better options on it.
The Bunkhouse is not my cup of tea either. Those owners love their campers but its not for me but the size is great for me.
Ok, Devil....think I can sell the TG!!
Now, I went by the HD store and ran into a gal that I have talked to for a good 2 years. She was test riding a RG and wanting to trade her 2012 Deluxe for the bigger bike. We were talking about leathers in front of a Salesman who knows both of us and I mentioned that I bought a nice jackt from Cycle Gear that blocks all the wind from going thru. Very warm jacket that was better than my $450.00 HD leather jacket and it was on sale for $99. The salesman who is very young then said I needed to keep that quiet. He said there was a guy in dealer one day talking how you could get HD parts and stuff from other places at a less cost. This salesman told the man to leave the dealership. That they are there to sell HD and nothing else.....quess I got told off! lol

Hi Skeet7373,
Are you selling your TG after the Wiz worked his magic on it?
Just get the red one-then you will have TWO!!!!!!
Maybe....I just can't get comfortable on it. The Zepplin seat sets me too high and makes my legs shorter to reach the floorboards. I'm at a loss on that. the Wing seat fit my larger hiney very well. With my back issues, the TG is killing me to ride for 45-60 minutes. I'm just frustrated right now. Sorry for the rant.
I understand what you are saying about the TG. I have two trikes one with IRS, and one with the same set-up(mfg) as the TG. The solid axle is more of a jolting suspension, the IRS is more back friendly IMO.
Seriously my RoadKing with IRS is like a Cadillac in comparison. Maybe there is a way to soften up you TG suspension, and make it more "back friendly"?
P.S. my hiney is quite voluptuous also!
Skeet, do you have the new style Air Zep seat or the old style? I have the new style and love it. I run it with no air added for the rider and think it is perfect, it does sit me just a tad higher than the factory seat. The only thing that I did to my TG that affected my back was the lift kit, that change in attitude of the bike did not fit me as well. Having said that I can easily run a full tank of gas out and still be in good shape.

I will say I didn't have much luck with the stock seat on my 2012 GL1800, it would have my tail bone on fire in 25 miles. To me it has to be one of the worst seats I've put my butt on, I sent if off to Daylong and had them modify it for me. But then there are folks who are quite content with the stock seat.

You just caused a light to go off in my head and I'm wondering if the lifts are causing me to go forward more. I love the way the TG handles with them on, but if I need to change back I will. I find that my lower back pushes out and under my rear end, causing the pain. the backrest is moved almost totally forward to keep my upper back straight to the bars and they are the 2" pullbacks. just wondering.....
sent you a pm
