    Default She's Home!!!

My son and I brought our new Tri home today, upper 30's here today, I'm amazed how much protection the bat wing and lowers provide!

Steering feels kinda creepy but overall I had an ear to ear grin for the 60 mile ride home, just gotta get over that "Oh **** its going to flip over!" feeling in turns and all will be well!

Who uses what for a windshield, I dont like the stock one, too high for me to look over and I dont like looking through it...

    Ryan

    Here's a couple pics...

What great news, Ryan! And don't worry, that steering tension will ease the more you ride. Take your time and get used to it. It is a great idea to spend an hour in an empty parking lot just doing figure eights, turning and maneuvering at varying speeds. 200 - 500 miles along you will suddenly realize it feels "normal" and that grin you have today will be bigger than ever!

Nice Ride, I have to go test ride one. I used to have a Can Am Spyder so i hope the learning curve is minor.

Congratulations, and I agree with Nana about the figure 8s, it will give you some confidence and practice placing the rear tire that is easy to forget.

Congrats!! a couple of miles under your belt and everything will feel natural. About the windshield. I first replaced my stock one with a 4" dark, about $50 on the internet. Too short, directed the wind directly at eye level (I'm 5'10") Moved up to a 6" on mine, and an 8" on my wife's.

Good Luck, ride it like you stole it.

Thanks everyone! There's an empty business park nearby that'll be perfect for practice...Screwball I'm thinking the 8" would be about right, the factory is more like 12 I think...

Great looking ride - the "Oh ****" feeling will be reduced as the miles increase. Best wishes - ride safe.

Thanks guys, Karen I had a grin ear to ear the whole time despite the cold!! I put another 100 miles on it today, a little more comfortable with the steering, but man does riding it give you more of a workout than my Nighttrain LOL I also tried out a few windshields at the local dealer, ended up buying the 10" HD Windsplitter

to get home.Took all the back roads I could to central Mass. The steering
and lifting sensation went away after 500 miles or so.Brought it back for the first service a week after we got it.loving it ever since.

Great to see you on your new TG, that creepy & flip-over feeling should go away real soon. It's fairly hard to get the TG up on 2 wheels so I wouldn't worry about flipping over, a few more miles and I'll bet you will be amazed how good it feels in the curves & turns. Ryan, have fun with your new TG.pepper

Thanks! I put another 100miles on her today! I was getting more used to the turns until my wife got on the back for the first time this afternoon, and I took her for a ride, creepy leaning-too-far-over feeling times 10! I think part of it was I only had 35psi in the back shocks and we're both good size people...
