Stallion Service Manual

Of all the motorcycles I have owned there has always been a service manual that you could pruchase. Is there any place that I can order one for the stallion? My Stallion is more than 3 years old. I cant see paying $75.00 per hour to a dealer for a simple repair that I can do myself.

We have been asking the same question for years. I'm just like you if I had a service manual I would do alot more thing myself. I guess the best think for me, so far I haven't had any major problems with my Stallionpepper but I know someday it will happen.

I have brought this matter to the attention of this forum many many months ago, hoping that TMS would address this issue and legitimate concern, but so far, nada! Not all of us have local Ford dealerships that will agree to work on our Stallions, even if some of us are willing to pay their relatively high service fees. The closest Stallion dealership for me is over 185 miles. I will admit that TMS does a very good job in answering my questions whenever I have call them. To that extent, I give them credit. My hope is that one day they will come out and offer a service manual and possibly an extended warranty. As I've said before and I'll say it again, surely they must know by now that they have a winner (in the Stallion) on their hands and that satified Stallion owners are their best salesman and saleswoman. We ask nothing in return, short of good professional service from time to time.

+2 I have been requesting one since March of 2008 when I took delivery of our first Stallion. Very willing to purchase it, but still not one being offered.

If I thought it would do any good, I'd suggest all Stallion owners sign a petition. At least one would think that someone from TMS would or could chrime in, assuming that they read and are involved in this forum. I'am all ears for suggestions others may have/offer to get the attention of TMS, short of calling their 800 number.

I've ended up working on several Stallions over time. From personal experience, I can tell you, as far as drivetrain, emissions/control, and wiring goes. You can buy the Ford Ranger service manuals as well as Ford's powertrain/emissions diagnosis manual and they will contain all you need for 85% of the vehicle. I bought the 07 manuals, but 08 will work also. If you do like me, and buy them from Ford, tape your jaw in place when they tell you the price for all 4 books. Knowing what I know now, I'd have searched online and found them somewhere for a better price.

Job security and owner's satisfaction are two seperate thing, I love my stallion and plan on keeping it for a while, it would be nice to have at least a parts manual to look at. The only way I know what brake pads to use is by other stallion owner's posting in the fourm. Thanks to Trike Talk

I will bet my pay check that most riders do 90% of their riding on the weekends and holidays. If I did have a manual I would take it along with me on trips and let mechanics use it to make proper repairs. Not everything is in the ranger service manual.

I'm not discounting anything this topic is saying in the least, but, the front axle torque spec is in the owner's manual along with the instructions for removing the front tire in the roadside emergencies section.

That is one thing that I have found that is a little disconcerting about the Stallion.<br />
Every bike in the last 20 years that I have owned I have had the service manuals. The Harley had three, bought them. The only thing about the Harley service manuals that I didn't like was that you could not get them in CD format or in a pdf file as if I am on a trip I usually have a laptop with me and if I had a problem I could just look it up and see what I was dealing with. <br />
I have seen, and have, the "limited" drawings and diagrams that others on the forum have generously made available...but I feel your pain in not being able to get a "complete" service manual even though the Rangers ones provide some insight. But to do the Stallion right they need to release one that applies to the Stallion and to deal with "all" the differences in this vehicle...as it is not a Ranger truck.<br />

I ran across this same issue when I purchased a "RoadHawk from the Trike Shop in Daytona Beach and Minnesota. They think that it is a security issue and that someone else wants to steal their concept trike build. I can understand it to a certain point but if they have a patent on it...what is the problem?

I am not going to buld one for myself I just want to know the wiring schematics and how I can do most of my own repairs. That's all. I am not a stupid person and please don't treat me like one...TBMS!

Just provide simple, straighforward information so I can do my own repairs after the warranty runs out!
