I am looking for some info on the vinyl covers you can purchase from Harley for covering the fenders. I have gotten mixed reviews as to whether they are a good idea or not. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks. Thor.

Go with 3M film............
I have the Harley film, & it isn't as clear as the 3M. #m is probably easier to put on.
2012 Tri-Glide, DK's Lift Brackets, 416 Progressive shocks, S&S Power Tune Duals Header, V&H Monster Rounds , HD Ventelator AC, FCS Fans, Tank raised 2", Dual Halogen Headlight, L.R.S 10" Tinted Windshield, Hammock Seat, Tourpak 1"raise & 2" back & Light conversion, PV w/Target Tune, Bagger Bar, Harley 2" pullback bars, Running AmsOil in all Boxes.
I added the Harley fender bra's on our trike and they keep the rocks and bugs off the paint. They're easy enough to loosen to clean underneath to keep the bike clean. JMO

After seeing what a vinyl bra does to a Vette, I'll never put one on any vehicle.
go with the 3M paint film - buy it in bulk and cut your own pieces - very cheap. I did it.
They sell what you need at CycleMax.
