True horse power

I have read older reviews that says the horse power on a Stallion is 155hp and some say 150hp . Thoroughbread ads say 143 for the 2013 model. Do all years of Stallions have the same hp or did they make changes?

My word. Anything over 100 is plenty.

horsepower is a very variable item. There is rear wheel horsepower measure on a dyno. Then there is crank horsepower same engine different value. Bottom line horsepower is not that important as long as it is in the same ball park. They are all basicly the same engine.

No question that the Stallion has more than enough hp. Being a vehicle that alot of people have never seen I know they are going to ask the question. I just wanted to give them a accurate answer.

My understanding is that the 08 and 09 had 150 horsepower and after that they had 143 horsepower. Probably just as much power however because I think that the plastic body's are just a little bit lighter than the fiberglass.

Many engines used in different year vehicles will be listed as a different hp, from my experience with autos it has all boiled down to more emission control add ons by the manufacturer.

I almost bough a Stallion in 08 while at Motor Trike but they had just sold the demo and my Ultra was being converted. But I think if they had one I would have purchased it. At the time they were using 150 HP ford engines.
