oil pressure switch ????

Question: I need to buy an oil pressure switch. I have a 69 VW 1600 DP
engine.

I was going to my local auto zone and they can order one
..For a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle 1.5L 1BL OHV 4cyl

Not sure if it will be the same??????

Or do I need to order it somewhere else

Well going to a VW shop in Denver to pick up an oil switch.....The connector seems to have oil residue. Should I cut the end add a little more wire with a new connector?

Note: unless I order online that's the closets place for me to pick one up... so I will enjoy my day with the wife and have BBQ for lunch

Clean the connector up and if it looks bad repalce it with a new one. I wouldn't splice in wire unless you have to, and solder it! Have fun in Denver.....I hate Denver, been there a half dozen times, and got lost every flippen time!!!!!

Well picked up a German made oil pressure switch and put it one yesterday. Ran the bike for 45 min..running around in town and no red light came up...yes...hope it stays that way..
