Just purchased a 2012 GL1800 and had it converted with a Motor Trike. Have only put 50 miles on it so far (just got it today) and i'm looking for any tips you might have.

Welcome aboard from Kent Island Md. My advice, as I am new also, is just ride as much as you can. Start in parking lots and practice figure eights and turning, and go from there. I am really enjoying mine and each ride is better then the last one.
Thanks, the dealer who did the conversion did a nice job of training me on the turning of the trike which was very helpful.
Welcome aboard! I'll look you up in August when I come up to Shark River.

Hi Mikeh1, Good to see another NJ triker. Not that I'm an expert as I just had mine converted last year but my only suggestion would be to ride, ride, ride, It'll grow on you. Was a little doubtful if I made the right decision at first but that didn't last long. Just remember your butt's a lot wider than it used to be and that's the only thing I'm really conscience about when pulling into a gas station or through a toll booth with mine……..Ride Safe………..

How YOU doin
Howdy!
My biggest adjustment was trying to stay seated in the corners; it seems centrifugal force and I needed to come to terms, again. I also learned to keep my outside arm locked straight in the turns, it made turning much easier for me. The rest was pretty intuitive for me. Don't worry, you're going to love riding your trike!

Hi Mike - Welcome to TrikeTalk, glad you found us. There can only be 1 new, white GW Motor Trike in the Toms River area - I bet it's the one we were looking at when we were at "Cliff's Place" last Saturday. Maybe we even met you and didn't know it...
The trike looked great and we wish you all the best with your new machine - with a little practice, you'll be doing fine in no time at all.
