From day one my 2013 Tri-Glide registered 15.9 volts and I figured it was the gauge being off. No big deal. 5,000 trouble free miles and a few days ago on the freeway at 60 mph all the gauges shut down, radio quit but the engine never missed a beat. About 30 seconds later the gauges started working except the voltmeter. I knew then that I was running on battery only and headed home. Got home, kicked the tires (they still had air) and moved a few wires. Started it up and had 14.5 volts. Talked to the dealer and they scheduled me for the next day service. (today). Nice place to go with problems. Free coffee, clean restrooms and a couch for napping.
They ran a series of tests and determined the voltage regulator had spiked and shut down. I guess they called the headquarters to verify their findings. The service was first class and I was kept informed of what was happening and why they were doing it. They had only had one problem that was similar so its probably not a big deal. Warranty covered everything. Just commenting on the fine service I received.
