Osteo arthritis affects most of the joints in my body, had two knee replacements in the last six months that make life a lot more pain free. Still on major pain meds for shoulder, back and neck pain.
Apart from that, I'm just great!

Looks as if I'll be getting a hip replaced in the near future. Been dealing with this for a year. It took nine so called medical professionals to finally figure it out.

@2006gold. I had a right hip replacement in 2004 and am getting the left done in Aug. Things will be much better for you after the surgery. See if your surgeon does the Anterior approach. They don't cut any muscle or nerves so recovery time is less and much less restrictions.After surgery work your butt off to rehab and you will be much better off for it.If you have any questions let me know. I've also had both knees replaced. The arthritis is in my hands and foot now but aleeve (naproxyn) helps a lot...
Remember it takes about a year after your surgery to heal right and pt is very important...

Yes, I walk about four miles per day with the dog. Almost completely pain free now in the second knee, that's just barely five months since it was done.
I use Voltarol gel on my shoulders and some gentle exercise that a physio showed me.
