That would depend if you are talking Harley or Goldwing.

Does biggest mean in number of sales, or dollars profit? As for best that is a matter of opinion and we all know that saying about opinions lol
Ok. What I mean is. You have the Factory Harley trike. That's ( 1 ) ( 2 ) would be Motor Trike. 3. Lehman 4. C S C. 5 Champion 5. Hannigan. Out of those what brands would sell the most conversions ? ? ? Not trying to pick a favorite. Just the one that sells the most conversions. . Like Chevy Ford and Dodge. 1. 2. 3. ........So If Motor trike sold the most they would be # 1. If C S C sold more then they would be # 1 instead. Thats what I'm trying to figure out. So who's # 1 Who's # 2 and so on. Not asking who's your favorite. But what BRAND sells the most product ! Thanks please answer what you think. It might help someone one here that's New to the sport. And that happens everyday on here. Thanks for your time. Rick
Uhhh, ya forgot Road Smith...
This is just an opinion and not based on fact or any poll. But just judging by all of the posts I've read in the past, I'd have to say that Roadsmith and Hannigan have got to be somewhere among the top choices.
Can't say who's is the best or sell the most I do know Champion owns Lehman and that Lehman ships to HD for assembly . so I suspect that Champion/Lehman are one of the larger outfits.
Really! . Champion owns Lehman ! I didn't know that. Wonder how that happened ?
I just ran across an add for AMERICAN TRIKE ? Never heard of them
Here is what I was told by a sales rep. at Champion. Harley invested lots of money with Lehman to develop the Triglide. Harley shipped bikes to Lehman to have Lehman install kits and to ship back to Harley. Them Harley shipped partially assembled bikes to Lehman to install kits the Harley pulled back in house and bought the kits from Lehman to build the Triglides. Then Harley pulled out of Lehman completely and started building in house with their own parts. Lehman almost went broke.
John Lehman passed away in Jan 2012 and Lehman closed the doors on their shop. June 2012 Lehman was acquired by Champion Investments and reopened. Today Champion and Lehman are operated as two separate companies.

WOW!! There's something I bet a lot of members didn't know !
Harley has done that to several other companies. We had a small electronic company here in Ohio that Harley chose to provide a product. The owners were elated. Then, after several years Harley pulled out. Since the company had devoted so much time and effort in to filling Harley's needs, their customer base had virtually disappeared. When Harley pulled out, they went under.
Interesting question. I suppose the answers would depend on how the sales are tabulated. Are you going for total sales from the beginning of time? Lehman has been around a long time. Years ago the name Lehman was synonymous with conversions when conversions were unusual, most trikes seen were VW based, such as the Trike Shop or Stires trikes. Recently Lehman became part of Champion, so does a Lehaman count as a Champion sale now?
Sales broken down by decade might be interesting. Would be neat to see what brands have gained or waned in popularity. I haven't seen a Trigg Trike or a TriKing in a long time, but I see a lot or Roadsmith, Champion and CSC trikes around.
I don't know about the biggest being the best - Mac & Donna's Supper Club is arguably the biggest seller of hamburgers in the USA, but I know very few, if any, adult people that would say they make the best burgers they've tasted.

I agree Don. Being the biggest always isn't the best. But how do you count on who is the best. The only thing I could think of. Was to see total sales from each Co. I'd like Lehman to be a separate count from Champion. You have to fig that Lehman might have an edge. Because don't they supply Harley with parts ? The reason I like the Harley or Lehman. The fender are bolted on. It's not a one piece mold. So in case you and some will. Wreck a fender all you have to do is just buy a fender not the whole thing. Thanks Don and everyone SO FAR for all your input. Its been a education
