I borrowed this from another Harley site: Since Harley touring bikes come with heavy duty charging systems they tend to have larger magnetic fields around the rotor and stator when they're running above idle. Whenever I pull up to a red lite I blip the throttle to maybe 2500 RPMs and have yet to have a sensor fail to recognize the bike is there. Maybe it's just coincidence, but so far so good.
