S&W Bodyguard

Just picked up my new PD gun, a S&W Bodyguard. This little devil is only a .380, but I can palm it and nothing shows out the other side. Plus it has a built in laser site. The only drawback so far is the availability. Single stack and 7 shot, with one in the chamber, single action. ThumbUp

Yes, but only the solids locally. My dealer tells me that that is the only kind available.....not so. I ordered hollow points from Sportsman's Guide at reasonable prices. I think Cheaper Than Dirt also had the hollow points.

I am carrying Glock 27 with extend magazine, and Kel-Tec KSG pump shotgun in my trunk, or either when I go camping or take a long trip with my trike, I always get my Mini UZI FA with four or five loaded with 9 mm fmj for protection.

Hornaday critical defense ammo feeds well in the SW 380. Other HP ammo with a knurled nose will hang on the feed ramp. At least that's what I've found to be the case with my SW. I've carried it for the past three years with 0 complaints.

I'm lookin at the S & W and also the Ruger LCP a very similar gun ammo is another story but "Cheaper than Dirt" or "Sportsman Guide" is a good resource.

Just picked up S+W Bodyguard .380. Bought the last 3 boxes of ammo they had. I'm not seeing any available at a decent price anywhere on line. Will check Sportsman Guide. Tom

.380 Auto ammo is low but not scarce around here but has risen $6 per box of 50 target rounds in the past year. Hornady is available (limited on type) locally but about $3 higher per box of 20.
Of course the obsessive compulsive Horders keep Wally picked clean of damned near everything. I see the same Usual Suspects hangin like ticks on a dog's ear in line every Friday morning when new Ammo is stocked while I am doing my weekly regular shopping.
You will like the Bodyguard. Was 50/50 on it and the LCP when I ended up getting the Ruger.
