Trike is in panama

Hi, at last I have my TriGlide 2013 ready to be use, it took time to be transfer to Panama, later I decided to install all of the extras I had purchase before I even use it.

The parts I install where:
Lift Brackets
Tour Box Rails
Cluchwiz
Compressor KIT MTRS-0537
RineHart True Duals
Edge Cut collection (from previous Road King)

I have to recognize that I should had tested the Trike before installing some of this parts, but I need it to be sure it didn’t had to go back to the dealer for couple of months, so I don’t really know the difference of handling without the Lifter, Clutch & Compressor, but I have to say that even though it is a different between two wheel and a trike, the handling is not as bat as I south it was going to be.

In Panama our routs are First world as Third world type roads, so we have all condition to ride with, that way I decided to install the Compressor, so I could control the PSI of the rear shock directly from the handlebar, the PSI to be use in this motorcycle is critical in the handling depending on the condition of the road and weight I carry, have to say that I don’t regret the money I spent in this accessory, it changes the comfort of driving this BABY, I can change the pressure of the shock any time I need to depending on the road, principally during my learning period.

I am not a expert driver not even in the two wheels, I am 65 years old and started driving a Motorcycle 5 years ago, the only thing I can not tell you the difference of installing the Lift Bracket & Clutch Wiz, the pressure in the Clutch is not that bat, the handling of the motorcycle is very good, by reading the comments you guys have on this accessories I can be sure that this parts have to do with the handling, the only thing I have to do know is put more Miles, get use to the BIKE, my wife is HAPPY, we had two accidents (Small) she has never stop biking with me, but was always tense, not any more.

Welcome Panama. You think you have bad roads down there, they're not that good in my area either. I feel like I am off-road riding here sometimes. As I type this, I just asked my wife if she knew where Panama is. She answered "Canada"? I guess we won't be heading down that way. She would just get me lost.

Well by going to Canada, she will be going the other way and the climate, their no comparison, Panama 80% humidity, 28 to 34º C year around, 8 month of rain 4 month of beautiful summer

OK, yesterday I had mi first long trip with the Trike and my wife, it was a 3 hours trip one way, High Way roads, Mountain roads and Country gravel with lots of holes roads.

The trike was very easy to right, in the High Way 70 Miles with no problem very steady. On the mountain roads, it was a mixt (but not the trikes full), it was very easy to do right curves but not as easy to do left curves, but this has always been a case for me, event with two wheels , this will be jus practice to get used to, but the rest it was excellent ride.

On the really bad roads, it was not that to good for my wife, the shock really does not make good performance for the passenger in that type of roads, I have already purchase the LEGEND Air Suspension, I dint install them, because I wanted her to have the experience with the factory shock, so she can see the difference, they will be install this week, to tell you the truth I could lift OK with the factory shock, but not her, we ride together about 80% , so this investment was necessary.

My set Up was: Front tire 36 psi, Rear tire 26 psi, Shocks 30 psi

Welcome from Southern Indiana! I was in Panama last month on a mission trip and we got to experience Panama roads. Stay safe and watch for the drivers! The roads are also a little crazy. Going east from Panama City, we got to experience some mountain roads. Would be fun on a bike or trike...as long as you don't have a big vehicle coming the other way!

That is correct, you do have all type of Roads in Panama, even excellent High Ways, but as you said, you have to be looking at the drivers, they drive crazy, I had RIDES to Costa RICA in my Road King, it was fund but you had to be washing the drivers, it will be fund to go to COSTA RICA with the trike, I will post my experience as soon as I install the LEDGEND. We will have a big ride to Chiriquí going north before the bothers with Costa Rica, lots of mountain road, should be fund, there are only two Tri Glides in Panama, one is a 110 Anniversary, and mine, so every one is waiting to see how it turns out.

I would suggest you try lowering the rear tires pressure to 22 PSI. I think you will find it much better suited to your type of roads.

Any one can give me an idea, how much PSI I need to put on the Legend Shocks, I ask tech from Legend he gave me a 90 to 100 PSI, it looks like to high

I had a long trip with Legend air suspension install, it is a big different from the stock one, but Wife did really notice the difference, she said night & day.

Ok, last improvement to the TRIKE, +5º RAKE from Bazooka, is been install as of today, we hope to have a two days trip this week end, with lots of mountain curves, so it will be a nice ride to test the Rake upgrade, will get back to you, to give a report.
