6th gear light lights when rear brakes applied

Got a 2010 triglide, a strange thing happens when I apply my rear brakes kinda hard, not a full lockup brake apply but firm. This happens when I downshift to first with the clutch in. I rarely use 6th gear, except on the highway. This occurs when riding around city streets. The light doesn't stay on just flashes. Not sure how long it's been doing it, I noticed it when riding at night. I did replace my brake pads in the rear about 500 ago. Not sure why the brake system would be linked at all to the trans. Anyone run into this?

Might be switch in clutch. I only say that because with my '10 TG, I notice 6 gear light goes out as soon as I pull clutch but before shifting gears.

If you have a Power Vision tuner on & have the gear indicator visible, the indicator goes blank when the clutch is pulled in also..................ODD...........
