<div class="message">I have been looking at the F-4... kinda pricey but everyone that has them seems to love them....</div>

</div>Thanks. I am interested in experiences with the V-Stream

I never heard of it. What is their gimmick? I have the f4 so clear you don't even know it is there and you can't dull or scratch it.

Don't know that it's a gimmick John. But the design is kind of quirky looking. The idea is that the "V" shaped sides will turbulate the air coming around the edge of the windshieldand push it away from you. In principle it should work...providing...you have a problem with the air hitting you now.

</div>I wouldn't call the V-Stream screen a gimmick either though it doesn't look like most of the other aftermarket offerings. I don't shop for windscreens based on appearance. I had one on a R1200RT and liked it a lot. It moved air aside and up without acting like a barn door as some screens do. I haven't seen one on a GL1800 or talked with anyone who has ridden behind one and would like to. <br />
<br />
Thanks all.

</div>Thanks Tango. I have one on my R1200RT and am very happy with it. From what I have heard from folks with V-Streams on GL1800s, the company did it's homework well. At any rate, I placed an order today.

<div class="message">Thanks, that's the one I was going to order from also.<br />
I'm going to wait until next week.<br />
We'll be going to the Davis Rally and some vender might have them for sale there.</div>

</div>
</div>
</div>Please let us know what you find. My experience in recent years is that vendors at rallies don't discount as much as they once did. Their costs have gone up [including rally space rental, travel, etc.] making it more difficult for them to compete.

Most install free . At Americade ..At least they did all my install for free.

Ben, this rally is really good as far as install and price.
I've purchased most of my add ons there over the years.
Don't know how the economy will effect it at this years rally.
Rally is from next Thursday 9-10 to Sunday 9-13. I'll let you know on Monday 9-14.

</div>Installation on a GL1800 is a piece of cake though more time consuming that on an RT or LT. It took about 20 minutes but I think I could do it again in 10 minutes.

Ben-
how tall and how wide compaired to the stock one?
I just took off my x-t tulsa and put on my tulsa freedom +4
to see if i like that before i order the x-stream.
I do like the freedom +4 better then the x-t, more protection.

The V-Stream is about the same height as the standard Honda screen and not much if any wider. The difference is in the shape. I can set it lower in the tracks without taking wind in my eyes and do not get as much buffeting on my back.<br />
<br />
It appears/feels as if it was engineered rather than styled ans some are. I also get the sense that it is more aerodynamic, though I have no data in support. I haven't ridden behind it enough to conclude that it delivers better fuel efficiency...<br />
