Sea Foam Gas additive?

Seafoam works well and can be used in gas or oil and as a gas/ethanol preservative. For regular treatments however I prefer StarTron. You can get it at WalMart. It also cleans and I think does a better job of preserving.

I use non ethanol gas in my trike and all my lawn and garden equipment. I agree with Skutter, " If You have no "issues" with Your Trike, I personally see no reason to run it....probably won't hurt anything, but no gain to I bet...." If you plan to store your trike for any length of time, then I would recommend an additive of some sort. Here in S/W Ga. I ride year round and have no storage issues.

Before every very long trip that I take with my [bike/trike] I always add a oz of Seafoam into the tank, when ever I know that I'll be using up a full tank of fuel that day... I FEEL THAT IT DOES INDEED WORK.....

Oh yea one more thing to add about Seafoam:

This spring I went to start my weedwacker, (I filled it with FRESH fuel) before starting.. (I ran it dry in the fall/so I know there was no left over fuel in the carbs).....

When it started it was caughing/spitting/chocking/ it wouldn't idle what's so ever or rev up! It totally ran like crap...............So I thought to myself what a great time to check out this Seafome product, that everybody either love'd or hated.............I went to to my local car parts store and purchased a bottle of Seafoam. I empty'd out a bit of fuel and added this S/Foam into the fuel...

shook up the mixture in the small fuel tank on the weed wacker so I knew that it was totally blended in..........I then started the engine again, ran it for a few minutes at an idle, then all of a sudden this engine came to life, holy crap, she ran like a rape'd pig....NO more caughing/spitting/chocking...........She ran like it was brand new, it rev'd up like crazy, and I have not had a problem with it since................. I'm now a total believe'rrr in Seafoam, I've now added it to my lawn mower fuel as well, and into both of my cars.... I love the stuff! I dought that anyone could convince me otherwise........NOW

Ronnie, I learned when i left my snowmobiles sit all summer and my lawnmorrows sit all winter i would never let the carbs run dry i kept them wet by not turning off the gas valve...Same with chain saws and string trimmers. Keep the tank full all the time so the gaskets don't dry and shrink or collect moisture from condensation ....

And they would start up with out a hiccup the next time you need them ......

Try a few ounces in the oil tank right before you change the oil. It will clean a lot of crap out of the tank Been doing this for years with great results

I had never heard of sea foam until I purchased a K1200Lt awhile back. It was smooth as silk wen I test rode it ... a few days later ... it started running rough. I had just joined the BMW bulletin board so asked them. They told me to add 4 oz to a full tank and ride. After like 20 miles the darn thing smoothed right out.

Since then, I've added 4 oz to the tank in every motorcycle every six months and a full can to each car/truck eery six mounts. No issues. Is it ring anything? I buy 4 cans every time auto zone or O'Reilley's has the buy one get one free sale. So, total cost a year, $15-$20. Pretty cheap insurance.

Try some in your oil before a change, you will like what it does, even in your diesel Jeep
