If I am correct the 4 1/2 rake is for the shorter conversions like champion and motortrike and the 6 is for longer conversions like CSC,hannigan, and roadsmith
I love my 6 degree on my CSC Makes handily much easier
I think it also depends on a persons upper body strength, I road a Hannigan equipped 2012 Wing with their 4.5 rake and found it easier than the Triglide I used to own. I don't know what a 6 degree would feel like, I have to believe it would be almost too easy for my taste. But then that is why they have a variety of rakes to choose from.

Red Ultra Powered By Head-Quarters 120, Easy Clutch Pull By ClutchWIZ. 2012 GL1800 Hannigan. I've yet to ride a stock Harley which wasn't in need of a mechanical intervention.
For the Motor Trike I would suggest a 4.5 degree rake kit.

OK - just ordered and paid for a 4.5 from Bazooka
If you have Roadsmith to the conversion, they install a 5 1/2 degree rake on a Goldwing unit. The dealer I bought my trike from, KD Cycle in Alabama used a 6 degree rake. I called Roadsmith and asked if the additional 1/2 degree would be an issue. They told me that many dealers use the 6 degree and you wouldn't be able to tell a difference with the between the 5 1/2 and 6. No issue at all.
I'm partial to the 4.5 degree kit on the Motor Trike 'Wings.....
..if it has WHEELS, I'm in...ThumbUp
I have a 6 degree on my GL. Much much better than the Triglide.

When considering a rake kit for the Valkyrie/MT, there were 4-1/2*, 6*, and 8* kits available. I went with the middle 6* kit, and really appreciate the ease of steering & ride it affords.
