Anybody know how to save a location in the 2014 GPS? Pressing save on the GPS does not work.

I down loaded an up-grade for my 2014 GPS from the website you recommended, and loaded it into the GPS. Guess what? I still can't save locations. I'm not giving up!!
(Glad you gave me the website for updates).

One thing I've found about factory GPS's is they are more trouble than their worth. Back with the 06 MY Harley got in bed with Harmon Kardon for their stereo which could be upgraded to also do GPS, it was very costly and cumbersome so it didn't sell well and was discontinued. Last year I rented a GL1800 with the built in GPS, Honda went with Garmin for their GPS funtionality. Would think with Garmin on board it would be a winner, not in my eyes. I found it a PIA to use, I much rather have my Zumo 550 guiding, easier to program and work with than any factory built in I have used.

Red Ultra Powered By Head-Quarters 120, Easy Clutch Pull By ClutchWIZ. 2012 GL1800 Hannigan. I've yet to ride a stock Harley which wasn't in need of a mechanical intervention.
I went to the dealer yesterday. They spent around two hours on the phone with tech support without success. The dealer says others that have bought 2014 trikes have complained to them of the same problem. I'm going to call HD tech support today and see if I can find out when they expect a fix to be available.

DAMN!!! it needs an update already?? Well, that's H-D for you.
Who makes the H-D units???
I'll stick with my cheaper and more reliable Garmin Zumo 660 mounted up high so I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

Not totally sure but the digging around I've done points to a company called NNG NNG - Leading navigation solutions

Why couldn't Harley has used a well established company (Garmin)that probably 80% of riders have their product?
Probably the same reason as their oil - the lowest bidder.
I love owning things made by the lowest bidder - NOT!!!
One of the reasons I now own a bike named Honda, seems things with HD get built cheaper and cheaper as time goes on. My 2006 Ultra Classic has always felt more substantially built than all the newer HD baggers I've ridden, including the Triglide I used to own.
It actually pains me to go into a Harley dealer and look at a new bike that I would dearly love to buy but can't allow myself because I know how its built and all its little evil short cuts to save a buck. As time goes by Harley builds a more disposable product, you won't see people coveting and rebuilding modern Twin Cam bikes like you see the old Knucks, Pan Heads etc.

I had the same problem. Still playing with it. Went to dealer today and we both played with. After you load the address and save it there is another screen to name the point. After you name it and go to saved,it will be there. Actually that's the way my GARMIN works. It just has a little different interface. I like the GPS very much.
Hope this helps.
