We have been developing a new trike line for the last few of months. We finally have the prototype built and ready to take to a couple of shows for consumer feedback! For the first unveiling, we will be at Shades of the Past, September 6 - 7 in Pigeon Forge. Here is a link for more information here. We will also most likely be at the Grand Fall Rod Run, September 12 - 15 also in Pigeon Forge. Here is a link for additional information here.
The new trike line doesn't have a name yet, which is where TrikeTalk can get involved. We are open to names that members post up. If the winning name comes from a member, they will win $50 cash. To be eligible, we will need your address, phone number, and email address with the posting.
We require you send that information through private messages so that your information isn't posted where everyone can get a hold of it. None of the information you provide to us will be sold off or shared with anyone else. We would like the names posted on the thread itself so no one posts up a duplicate name. For the winner, we will run a poll on TrikeTalk to determine which name people like! We will be taking name suggestions until September 12th. The poll will be posted on September 13th, and will last until September 18th.
So, onto the specs for the trike:
The trike is powered by a 110cc dirt bike motor. Comes equipped with a semi-automatic 3 speed with reverse (no clutch), front and back brakes, 6 cubit feet of storage in a pick up bed and a removable canopy top. These are designed for in-town commuting with top speeds of 55MPH, gets scooter-like MPG and meeting DOT requirements. This unit is considered a motorcycle and will be sold with a motorcycle title.
There are future options we will be offering as well.
We plan to offer a second seat, windshield, weather enclosure to keep the driver dry, a dump bed to help with dumping of materials such as dirt, two additional engine options, a 49cc motor for those who do not have a license, and a turbo charged version of the 110cc motor for those who want more power out of their trike. There will be other customization options offered as well, such as different mirrors, head lights, taillights, wheels and many more!
Now the intended use for this vehicle is as mentioned in-town commuting, college campus uses (students and staff alike), golf courses, closed community transportation, and farm transportation. We would like to see whatever uses you guys may also suggest or think would be applicable for this trike.
The base price for this trike will be $5,895. However, we are offering a significant pre-order discount. If your $500 deposit is received by September 30th, we will knock off $600, dropping the price to $5,295! Production officially begins October 1st.
If you guys have any questions or comments, post them up or PM us! Also don't forget about getting your creative juices flowing and giving this bad boy a name!
$50 is at stake!
