Well to start it really makes no difference to me what grade gas others run as their trike is not my $30,000 trike.
Here in Omaha NE 87 Octane is $3.43 a gal.
89 Octane is $.33 a gal.
91 or 92 Octane is $3.63 a gal.
Personally myself if the manufacture recommends premium gas that's what I run. My thoughts is they recommend it for a reason. So as far as I'm concerned I could care less if someone else runs kerosene for fuel. It's not my engine.
If my tank is bone dry and I put 6 gallons of gas in it the difference in the cost of a tank of gas between 89 and 91, 6 gallons, is $1.80 for me.
If I had to worry about less than $2 a tank difference between the 2 I'd better be looking at more of my budget than just gas prices.
I don't like the gas prices anymore than anyone else but they are what they are.
