Default Just about ready to pull the Trigger

Well we are very close to pulling the trigger on 2014 Mysterious Red & Blackened Cayenne Trike. It's scary since I haven't ridden one before. I have studied this site and a few others so I sort of know what to expect at first. We are trading in our Heritage and 883 so we are going from 2 wheels to 3 in a hurry. We are looking forward to riding "together" so that part of it is a plus. I will keep all of you updated and how we are doing. If you ride where the deer are like we do, keep an eye out and ride safe.

You won't regret your decision to come to the brotherhood. Plus your wife will enjoy just sitting back and watching. Then again, she may just want to take it out herself for bread and eggs.

Welcome Timbrr. Enjoy that new trike. It might take a couple hundred miles to get used to. When turning, pull with one hand and push with the other. Forget "counter-steering". You don't need to put your feet down anymore (watch the rear wheels). And pay attention at gas pumps. It will handle kind of like an ATV. And have plenty of fun.

Welcome from Perry Hall, MD. I just purchased my first trike a few weeks ago. Got over 1000 miles on it already! Just take it easy in the turns and spend some time on it alone before adding the BSR. I will warn ya, it is a completely different feel than your 2 wheeler. Just be patient...and enjoy. Good Luck!

Welcome to Trike Talk from northeast MA. I purchased the exact same trike about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it!!!! You will not regret your decision. Take it nice and slow the first few times you drive it, mostly back roads will help alot to get comfortable with the feel of it as it is a different riding experience. Get a couple of hundred miles under your belt and you will wonder why it took you so long to get a trike!!

So Cal welcomes you. Not sure why you are upgrading from 2 to 3 wheels, but ride it in good health!

    Why 3 wheels?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. It sounds like we have made the right decision. My trip home should be interesting because I will be on a 2 lane hiway and then on the Interstate the rest of the way. Oh well sometimes jumping in with both feet is the way to go. The dealer doesn't have a delivery date yet so I'll be in touch when we are ready to go.

I was just wondering, I see you have alot of goodies on your trike.
Did you ever changed the Cam and if so, to what size and if you haven't,
no complaints without a cam?? just wondering...

Hello timbrr and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I like to advise new trike riders to set up two traffic cones, or any small rubber obstacle, approximately 50 feet apart and practice figure 8s around the cones. The idea is to get used to the extra wide rear end, and on both sides. Once you get good at that distance, move the cones 10ft closer. Good luck, ride safe, post often.

The best accessory that I added was passenger armrests for the wife with a drink holder. She drinks her diet coke and is happy. She loves the trike. Hope your wife does also.
