hello to all
i need all of your help have you every seen or heard of a right foot throttle or foot accelerator for my tri-glide

Never heard of one, not that it can't be done. With the Triglide being TBW you might be able to find one from a car that would you could modify to fit.

You might want to think about that before jumping in. Your right foot is for the rear brake and your right hand is for your primary brake. I would not recommend a foot operated throttle unless you have a physical limitation requiring it.

I have heard, that some of the big rigs (tractor trucks) use throttle by wire foot accelerators, maybe some cars are using them, you might check a napa store, or maybe someone else knows for sure, if you can find the mechcanism, you could make the peddle.

anything can be fabricated, just need to find a shop with imagination. just make sure the accelorator pedal is to the right of the brake pedal so it will be like driving your car

Saw one on a Honda. Wouldn't be to hard to fabricate one on a Harley with a cable operated throttle but your T - Glide throttle is electronic. No cable. Since its electronic you would probably have to use some sort of modified stock throttle, otherwise all of the other little goodies wouldn't work. Isn't progress wonderfull? Have you considered moving it to the left side? My brother in law rode a Honda auto with the throttle moved over to the left side. He lost his right hand in an industrial accident. He did well with it.
Thinking outside the box, to give you and idea to ponder. If you could have a bracket made to start, having it mounted forward of your floorboard and you aquired a stock handle bar that was setup for the TBW, the throttle sensor and wiring needed to extend it.

You could cut off the throttle side of the donor handlebar. Make a special clamp to clamp around the throttle grip to make it similar to a gas pedal

Then mount the setup and extend the wiring down to your pedal setup so you could press down to accerlate. I think it can be done.

Theres going to be alot of trial and error to get it to work. If your bike has the lower fairings, you will most likely have modify (cut) a section out of the lower fairing or remove it on the right side.

Good luck in your quest :wtg:

Roadkill, you might want to check out this site.

Prosthetic Hand

Although you don't have a Prosthetic Hand, it isn't what it sounds like. It is actually a lever to operate your trike.

They have a consultant that you can call.
