Roadsmith / Exhaust Tips?

Does anyone know if there are any exhaust extensions that are longer to accommodate the longer wheelbase of a Roadsmith/Goldwing conversion?

It seems no matter what exhaust tips I've seen or tried, they all are not long enough to bring the tip of the exhaust to at least the inside of the nerf bumper (slightly beyond the end of the body) on the Roadsmith. I'd imagine that the Hannigan conversion would have the same issue as they also have a longer wheelbase as compared to other conversions. In order to see my exhaust, you have to step back at least 4 to 5 feet. I'm more concerned with the exhaust fumes, but it would also be nice to see them more easily.

Rick, I had the same complaint as you so I moved my stock mufflers back about 8 inches. It made the mufflers extend just beyond the end of the bumper. It looked great.
Now in the process of doing the work I kind of liked the sound of the motor without mufflers so instead of going to the local muffler shop and getting adapters to use the stock mufflers longer to mate with the RS extensions I just had him put some open pipes on it and made them the length I wanted. It looks great and it sounds great as well.
Anyway there is a way to lengthen the stock mufflers if you want. You could take it to a muffler shop and they could easily enough move the stock mufflers back 8 to 10 inches.
Good luck and have fun
Kent

Thanks Kent. I might just go that route over the winter. Here's a few pictures of the tips I have.
They actually divert the exhaust out and down through an opening under the end to the tip and not though the back three openings which then keeps them clean of exhaust staining. They look good but just wish that I could extend them back a few more inches.

Here's a link to the tips on Wingstuff;
Rick, here is what mine looks like. I like the old school look, same as the pin striping.
I've also added a handle, first pic, on the trunk too.

Rick, you can extend your stock back past the RS bumper. I did it to mine before I took the mufflers off.
I hope you can follow the pics.
I put two supports going from the RS muffler mounts to the front of the "H" frame. and mounted the mufflers to that brace. Then you will have to take it to the muffler shop and get an adapter pipe from the RS extension pipe to the muffler.

Thanks for all of the photos, Kent. I'll have to check my local shop and see if they can fabricate something similar. At present, I've just changed my tips to the 'After Burner long billet' by American Motorcycle Accessories. I had a spare set of these and although they're not any longer then the other tips I had, they look a bit better for now. I definitely want to extend the length. Thanks again for the photos. ThumbUp
