Between 1990 and 1991 my wife and me rode Harley's, she on a 1989 FLSTC and me on a 1988 FLSTC, to all 49 states, 3 Pra. and 2 Terr. in Canada. A trip that took 17 months none stop and was 87,000 miles long.

We camped, except for 10 days, in State Parks, KOA's, SAM's, and private campgrounds. During the 10 days, 1 day here, 2 days there, the weather was so bad we had to seek inside shelter.

The trip included the 4 corners of the States, the 4 corner States, And the principle cities in Alaska.

Two years later we flew to Hawaii rented motorcycles to get the 50 th. State.

Now that we are retired, we hope to do it again but now on trikes, she on a 2011 Harley XL883L, bumped up to a 1200 Race/Motor Trike and me on a 2013 Harley bumped to a Stage I 103 FLSTC/Motor Trike. However, we will be spending more time indoors because she will be 70 and me 71 in a few months.

Hi sounds great I was up to alaska this pasted summer meet and tacked to many trikes and bikers of all kinds of units many on ferry between skagway and haines traviling in both direction some at haine would be going onto stops heading south. I well be looking at catching ferry in Prince Rupert B.C. canada and going north stop by stop a lot to see and do in different along the way

I am impressed and very envious of your past adventure and your up-coming one. We've taken many long rides -- 6,000 - 7,000 miles, and criss-crossed Canada and the US, but to do it all in one continuous adventure must have been a wonderful dream come true!

Fantastic!
proving that all we need in our second childhood is the same thing we need in our first?
something to do and something to look forward too!

Congrats !

I've got 48, 4 corners and the high and low on 2 wheels but not Alaska or Hawaii. Just move to a Trike due to medical issues, trimmers. Alaska is on my front bucket list and should happen this next year. Hawaii, don't know.

Still, sounds like you had a great ride.

Sounds like a fantastic trip. I'd like to try something like that but I don't think this old bod could take it. Glad you were able to do it. Thanks for sharing.

Wife and I have 48 plus Canada. Some on bikes and some on trikes. We had to do it 9 days at a time so it took us 10 years to finish. Hope to make Alaska and Hawaii but still have lots of places to see in the 48.
